The Code S Season 3 qualifiers were held on September 12th, resulting in four Code S spots changing hands.
Terran dominated the first two seasons of Code S, but the tide shifted in the Season 3 qualifier as the number of Terrans dropped from eight to five. Zerg gained two net players (five total), while Protoss added on returnee Stats to bring their total to six.
The lightly attended qualifier had one major surprise, as  sOs competed in the GSL for the first time since 2021. While sOs announced his retirement in September of 2021, he has been making sporadic tournament appearances in 2023. sOs was eliminated by Scarlett in a final qualifying match.

Code S Season 3 will be played from October 10th to November 2nd. The starting groups for the RO16 will be announced at a later date.

hmm, maybe you mean he will not try to qualify for future ASL seasons? Because he definitely played in the qualifiers of the current season.

I blame Nakajin for that, he mentioned TY not playing in the ASL qualifier!!1
...apparently he did fall for the same trick as me and that is that for Broodwar TY is still listed as "BaBy"...

It's likely he already did retire, he didn't play in the qualifiers for season 2 either
