AfreecaTV have announced the round-of-20 groups for the upcoming Code S Season 2 tournament. The seeding for the group draws is based on GSL points, GSL's internal point system based only on GSL results.
AfreecaTV have also announced the initial map pool for the tournament:
- 2000 Atmospheres
- Berlingrad
- Blackburn
- Curious Minds
- Hardwire
- Golden Wall
- Nautilus II

Nice and balance group, I could see some upset where some of the higher seed wont make it out of these grroups.

And hello, what's with the 2499 points for GSL runner up? A typo, glitch or joke? No respect for OCD folks!

Does anyone know if they are letting people attend in person for RO 20? I know they have started to sell tickets for RO4 and finals, but I am planning a short trip to Korea in early June and I wanted to plan it around this, of course!

It has always been like that, afaik. I guess it's to make sure that winning the tournament is more than twice the worth of a runner-up.

Quite balanced groups ; actually seed 1 Rogue probably got the toughest group so that I'm not that confident he'll go through. With the end of his career nearing, his tendency to slack after big victories got less noticeable though.

Hmm there is not really a group of death this time , all groups are pretty balanced.
Group E and B are slightly tougher groups compared to the rest.
What I am most excited for is if Creator has continued to improve or if that was a rare spike in performance.
This triple oracle blink stalker build has potential until zergs learn how to stomp it like they do with all new protoss builds but maybe we can sneak in a premier tournament win for Protoss

Voted: There Is No Group of Death. If anything, Group C is the "anti- Group of Death" (being considerably weaker than the other four groups). I'd say Groups A, B, and E are all very, very close to one another in strength, so much so that it's senseless to try to choose between them. Group D is ever so slightly weaker than those three, and Group C is considerably weaker still. Pretty balanced for the most part though, I reckon.

And depending on which Zest shows up. Group B is definitely the most unpredictable group. Any of the four can advance and fall apart. And it won't be a surprise.

Dang Creator is facing off again vs Solar and Maru lol, well I guess he should/can win vs Solar again, he should beat Keen too, and it's OK if he loses to Maru...
Am worried though if the rematches give Solar/Maru the advantage in re-adapting to the new Creator.
Please Creator make it to the RR stage!! It's so fun

No group of death but E with Solar, Creator and Maru is definitely the hardest, mainly because of Solar who is an underachiever (does that word exist?) but is skillwise at the very top. Creator and Maru are self-explanatory, the Goat and the GSL finalist from last season.
Surprised most people are voting for Group A, probably because of the names of the player, but DRG and Gumiho aren't that good right now.
