Mostly that he was really careful in the lead up but he's disappointed to have contracted covid anyway. Seems to be in relatively good spirits considering the terrible circumstances. He had cold like symptoms but he's feeling alright now. | ||

Many Koreans (about 12?) arrived today and took their Krakow arrival test. I'm not sure how many tests need to be taken for players but if it's like the talent side, one test in and one test out. If symptoms show then yeah more tests necessary, but it does seem like honestly the biggest "hold your breath" moment is the pre departure test. Agree with BisuDagger above. From the public sources available (I have no other insight) it does seem to be one test in and then only if you show symptoms are more done. I'm just wondering about that since there's much debate about the DQs once a player tests positive for COVID. But if there isn't daily testing, and it's only done when there are symptoms, the likelihood of that happening is lower. Even then, if the players tests negative when they arrive in Poland, it should be unlikely (not impossible) that they'll contract COVID (and get symptoms/tested) within 5-7 days. | ||

Happened in CS:GO in which one player was not allowed to play while the other played in his hotel room. | ||

Fair enough to be fearful of the possibility, but you made it sound like a certainty for "many Koreans". A large group of Korean players have already landed and been tested. As I said above, it seems like there's cause for a bit of hope since there won't be random testing and as such asymptomatic cases (which are likely with Omicron & vaxxed) won't be caught. As far as debating on whether or not not testing daily is a good thing idk, but I was mostly questioning your certainty, not the understandable fear and frustration of the event. | ||

The solution to all this is 36 players booths and each player isn't allowed to leave theirs until they've lost. How does this work in detail? Player X enters the player booth while at their home. The local post then picks up the booth and transports both the booth and player inside to the on sight location.
