Big Gabe's video about what I expected, he seems like a really chill guy. "Because of my massive personality, they're afraid of me..." And with both of those and most of the videos, very nice to see so many supportive families, takes away from the stereotypes about ESPORTS. I think it's really important for the health of the scene to have "mid-tier" players with unique skillsets and stories. Not only to fill up tournaments or streams, but also just to keep things interesting watching week in and week out. Cheering for the mid-tier can be more rewarding than anything imo, waiting for the "big break" and the better-than-usual performance. And those sorts of players are often the most likeable also. And who knows, today's mid-tier might just be tomorrow's top-tier? As HeroMarine showed very well this Katowice. | ||
