The qualifiers are over and the 32-player bracket has been seeded—TeamLiquid Starleague 6 is finally set to kick off with an explosive opening weekend on Saturday, Dec 05 4:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00)!
The sixth version of TSL brings its own unique twist, with the initial round-of-32 being held in a single-elimination format before transitioning to double-elimination for the round-of-16. That means all of the opening weekend bouts are must-win matches—lose and you're out for good.
ByuN vs. Clem stands out as a championship-quality bout in the first round, but considering the overall caliber of players in TSL6, many of the RO32 matches look to be closely contested. If you think you know which players have an edge, try your hand at the official TSL6 bracket contest where we're giving out weekly prizes in the Team Liquid store.
TSL6 will run from December 5th to December 20th. Not only is over $30,000 of prize money on the line in TSL6, but 1260 EPT points are up for grabs as well. For players like ByuN, Bunny, RagnaroK, Elazer, Lambo, and uThermal, TSL6 could significantly impact whether or not they qualify for IEM Katowice 2021.
You can watch the matches live on Twitch.tv/TeamLiquid. Make sure to follow the channel so you don't miss a TSL match!
You can call the format a twist, I'm gonna call it bad for all the players whose Global Final spot isn't safe because the bracket draw went poorly for all of them.

Final four is good: no one will bring it up the first round ever again
Final four is bad: you will bring it up forever whenever TL does a thing

I forgot about that. That makes a lot of these matches really sad. Solar/DRG, Byun/Clem and Parting/Dream are definitely all players that could make deep runs but only 3 of them will get the chance. I thought this was a fine bracket before but with that in mind it's kind of disappointing :/

if you take a look at the schedule (e.g. by going to the events liquipedia bage and press that toogle button above the bracket) you will see that Ro32 is played on 2 days, 8 matches one after another per day, all broadcasted on a single stream
