TL.net ESPORTS 4 Posts October 10 2020 16:11 GMT #1 Gold Series Team Championship: Fall Alpha X proved to be S-class spoilers in day one of the GTC fall playoffs, knocking out last season's runner-up team Brave Star Gaming alongside Fall 2019 champions Jin Air Green Wings. RagnaroK was the hero for Alpha X in their first round series against Brave Star Gaming, taking out Scarlett 2-0 and then securing a 1-1 split against ace player Dream to clinch the victory. Zoun was the key player in Alpha X's massive upset over Jin Air, managing to secure 1-1 splits against both Maru and Trap. Contrary to his cheesy reputation, Zoun actually stole maps off the massively favored Jin Air players in macro-ish games, furthering his reputation as a deadly team league player. Zoun's heroics forced the series to an ace match, where RagnaroK's Hydra-Bane swarm ran rampant over Trap to lock in the shocking result. Alpha X's third player Nice also made a solid contribution, securing at least one map win in each of the series. All in all, the Golden Dragons got a great collective performance from its three player roster, sending them into the final day of the playoffs. The GTC playoffs will conclude on Sunday, Oct 11 10:00am GMT (GMT+00:00) with the final two rounds of the playoff gauntlet. Alpha X 5 - 3 Brave Star Gaming Jin Air 4 - 5 Alpha X
