Elazer couldn't have hoped for a better korean opponent(except for soO in his seemingly slumping state, and Fantasy); Elazer has a pretty even record against korean Zerg and a not that terrible head to head against Dark, eliminating him from BlizzCon in 2017 and losing 1-2 at WESG earlier this year. I expect Dark to advance but we should have a series, not a stomp.

I agree with you. Even tho Dark is no soO (who lost to Namshar pretty badly lately), ZvZ is the only matchup where the European (top) Zergs seem to be ahead of Korean Zergs, so I think the match should be pretty even. If Elazer wins that would make my day considering how many people think it's going to be a stomp. Elazer obviously is the underdog, Dark has home advantage and seemingly is in top shape.

It was Namshar beating soO, but apart from that, I agree with everything you wrote. My dream scenario is the one in which Elazer, TIME and Serral all advance!

Elazer's own ZvZ hasn't been too hot though, he's had some pretty surprising losses recently so I don't have a whole lot of faith. Once upon a time Elazer was a beast at ZvZ and the koreans were pretty bad at ZvZ, nowadays I feel like the level of Korean ZvZ is a bit higher, and Elazer isn't as good at the matchup as he used to be. Obviously, he has a chance, and maybe a higher chance than people would think.

From memory, the last time they played was 2-1 to Dark at WESG? Those were some weird games.

Ganzi beat me without stim. Ostojiy beat me with a nydus. Siphonn beat me with probes. Revival beat my sentry-immortal all-in.

Anything is possible because we have no idea what Maru's form is, but let's not act like Stats has been killing it in PvT. No offense to HeRoMaRinE, but the PvT of any Korean Terran who drops a map to him is immediately suspect.

AT least he can end with dignity. Losing to Classic is fine, he could have ended with a foreigner and get kicked out of the tournament by a foreigner.

Even tho zvz is not Dark's greatest matchup cant see Elazer advancing. Dark is just too good atm.

I'm excited for Soo vs TIME, TIME showed real good TvZ against Serral at Assembly so i think he has a good shot at winning the series.
