2019 Global StarCraft II League - Code S Season 3

Code S Season 3 kicked off with two days of round-of-32 group play, with reigning champion Dark and RagnaroK advancing from Group B, while Rogue and SpeCial advanced from Group A.

Rogue made a vital progress in earning a return to the WCS Global Finals by advancing, having suffered a huge setback after his shock Ro32 elimination in the prior Season 2. On the other hand, Rogue's teammate sOs now sits at #15 in the WCS Korea point standings and is close to being eliminated from Global Finals contention—even if he repeats his GSL Super Tournament II miracle run from 2018.

The Code S Ro32 will continue on Saturday, Jul 06 4:00am GMT (GMT+00:00) with Hurricane, Scarlett, Cure, and Stats competing in Group C (check out Liquipedia for more information).

PartinG gotta be sad. From 3-0 and 1 map away to the RO16, he looses 3-4 and gets DQd.

Happy for the other two.

Sad to see Bomber not beeing fully back to the game yet.

I know most wouldn't consider ragnarok a great player but he has shown clear improvements in his play, and consistency in performances since his decent IEM katowice run. I'm a fan of his... interesting playstyle

Anyone knows when RNK went full-time? My understanding is that he only went full-time this year

Damn Ragnarok was good with his infestor plays. Perhaps, he may utilize that unit more in future.

Well done to the winners, showing once again the foreigner gap is closing. Well done Juan.

Great work Creighton Olsen working with Artosis for Group B, I thought it was a strong cast and some fun banter. Loved the reference to the community casting Silver league, "You can't only build the fun units", and some nice "wait for it - No" moments.

Artolsen or Creitosis?

Ragnarok beat Innovation in the GSTL finals in 2013, after having some really close GSL games with him like a month prior. I've always liked him and he's finally becoming a ro8 threat.

Certainly. Let's hope he can get a good performance in WCS Summer (he probably will) and see if he can go to Ro.16 this time, he was close last time.

Vamos Juanito!

Agreed here, it was quality casting and I thoroughly enjoyed his work.

Glad Ragnarok did well, he's put out some seriously good games recently. Even in the face of the rematch shenanigans against sOs of all people, he was on point.
