Group C seems like the most interesting to me! Maru's and Inno's group seem relatively easy. Of the fan favourite Terran back to Code S, Dream is the one who has the best chanches if we have to trust his Olimoleague performances.
on paper its a doable groups for both foreigners but Scarlett got two protoss and her recent performance against Neeb shows that she`s kinda weak against good toss right now.
It's not that strange considering which players are in the lower tiers. For example, Solar and Zest are tier 3 (i.e. not even in the top 16), and Innovation, TY, Stats, Rogue, sOs, Dear are in tier 2 (not in top 8).
Afreeca is like "Last season was a huge success, a Zerg finally won GSL. All it took was Maru and TY out in the Ro32. Let's try to get rid of one of them right away again!"
But then bracket guys finger kinda slipped and he didn't maximize the power of the group.

Wow what a stacked GSL. Group G is the only one I don't look at and see at least two solid contenders to make it into the ro8, and even then, Gumiho and Dear are absolutely no slouches.
For group A I have no idea, but advances for the rest:
B: Dark - sOs C: Stats - Hurricane D: soO - herO E: Maru - TY F: Classic - INnoVation G: GuMiho - Dear H: Trap - Solar
All of these pretty clear except for C (that one is really tough as well) and H (because Patience is Patience), but other than that I don't believe we're gonna see many surprises here.
At first sight I considered group A to be the group of death, on a secon thought though it's D. Simply because Rogue is nowhere near the level the used to be.

Both Keen and creator are the best player in the world when they actually play to their best, alas, this is only about 1 in every 20 televised games for them. The other 95% of the time they are just average. If they both actually show up they could easily both advance

That said I don't think it's like 24/32 GSL players would be contenders for WCS Circuit because players like Neeb, Reynor and Special are probably top 20 players. Creator is one of the weakest Koreans. I definitely did not count him in my 24 player list Nor did I count Solar, but maybe I should have as he quite comfortably topped his group. Bunny and TY are making fun of their group, crushing all the foreigners like gold leaguers, and Bunny didnt even qualify for GSL :D Oh and guess what, Serral got totally crushed by Stats, and barely beat Uthermal and TLO.
We will see how it goes but so far it seems like I was right again, gap is closing is a meme and basically any Korean aside from the clearly weaker ones such as Creator, Dream, Super, Armani would be a champ contender in WCS

I predict Trap will regret his choice Taeja despite recently coming out of retirement still seems like a scary opponent. He also traditionally has done well even in metas where Terran is not favored.
