Most who actually does retire usual give some kind of gratitude towards the people who has cheered him on and fellow players and teams. So, who are you to deny a fan his freedom to express himself?

Pointing out a post is stupid drivel is not denying anyone any freedom. Freedom of speech is not freedom from the consequence of being called an idiot.

You obviously missed my point. Ok, english is not my first language and "freedom to express" was maybe the wrong way to describe it. Not sure. BUT, his comment was not stupid drivel. For example, if Maru would write tomorrow "i quit" and not say anything else, he ofc havent done anything wrong. Its his life. But is it strange for fans of Maru to feel disappointed if he would quit like that and not say anything more? I dont think its strange at all. I think expressing disappointment to that would not be strange, or at least not "stupid drivel". But some people just love to be a smart ass...
