i wouldn't mind d3 or sc2 either. maybe from blizzard's pov, it would be better to release d3. (zomg, i blaspheme!) sc, being the well balanced perfect rts that it is, has evolved to a such a high level of gameplay that a chunk of its fanbase and the progamers would be reluctant to migrate to a newer version. unless it keeps its original elements, which would be pretty hard in this age of 3d rts games, it will probably never be as free flowing as sc. i doubt the diablo community is as ambivalent about a sequel as we are too.

i do agree with fa's view that sc2 could unite the sc and wc3 communites though. imagine a proleague with sc2 in its infancy with moon, sky, lucifer, nada, grubby, bisu, savior... damn. sc progamers like elky DID play in the initial w3 proleagues right?

then again, what do i know? here's to hoping that whatever comes out, it'll be awesome!

The only thing that scares me if it's SC2 is the unit control, in pretty much every single 3D RTS i've tried the unit control has felt slow or clumsy, hard to explain, but i could never get into other RTS games for that reason.

Other than that is see nothing but positive things with SC2.

Just saw a commercial on TV for WWI and Hyori herself is going to be there performing.

They are making this shit fucking huge, and in korea, for a reason: SC2

Who is Hyori? Tried Googling 'hyori' and 'starcraft', came up short...
