Though it is rather unfortunate that WCS Montreal has to start at the same time the GSL semifinals are on. With all due respect to the foreign players, a Bo7 between INnoVation and Dark far outshines any show they can put on. We say this, and then it's a 4-0 slaughter... In the matches I've watched, I've been far more disappointed with KvK matchups than FvF matchups....though that may be because my expectations are higher. I think it's because Koreans make fewer mistakes. So whomever makes the first significant mistake just loses outright. On the other hand, foreigners make enough mistakes that a single one doesn't spell instant death and so we get more back-and-forth games. Just my hypothesis.
This is so true. High level competitive games are brutal and boring. One mistake, BOOM! Game ends, or drifts to an anti-climatic end. For example: MLS (American soccer) is super action-packed and entertaining, top UEFA Champions League matches can be a technical chess-like snore-fest (the team that scores first will try to lock the game down). Likewise, foreigner games tend go back and forth - super fun! But I would rather watch a brutal and boring high-level KvK over that.

I cheer for you as always. Stay strong and show them why they should never underestimate king Artur.

Nerchio vs Showtime final would be sick.
Also Scarlett for the local hero hype.

First time I'll miss a live event in Montreal and it stings, but I'll follow it closely anyway; as a zerg player it's so easy to get hyped by this tournament. Gogo Snute and Nerchio!

I think it'll be a lot like most tournaments for MaSa. High amounts of potential, but seeing as he's yet to translate that into a major tournament, it's difficult to predict that he'll go far this time.

cheering for Cham to have a good run in this tournament and for SpeCial or Kelazhur to make it to the finals. besides that i think ShoWTime have a really good chance to win Montreal.

Great write up, I really enjoy these articles. It's like reading about a football article before the game to learn story lines and potential outcomes
