"I have been writing for a long time and I have decided to retire after a lot of troubles. I have been playing for 7 years since I have been through a lot of things. I really appreciate you for doing so many times and I can not give you back everything.
But thanks to the many people who cheered me a lot and good team members, I think that I have been playing so happily ever since I met, so I would like to thank all of the other players who continue to stay and work hard."

Sad to see him go. He wasnt the best or the flashiest player in the scene, but it was always fun to watch him play. Did he specify any of the "troubles" he had or is it just being burned out in general?
|
Not a player I recognized a lot but still sucks to see SC2 lose another progamer.
How many 2010 progamers are left now anyway? Surely almost all are gone by now?

Noooo the gates are open now.....

I guess I'm not as up to date as I thought. That's a good thing though in this case. Losira still plays? Cool.

Another translation:
Hello, this is Curious. It's been a while since I left a post.
After much deliberation, I have decided to retire. I spent around 7 years as a progamer, and have been through a lot of things in the meantime. Thank you very much for your support over the years. I feel regretful that I couldn't repay you for all of your support, but I feel that I was able to grow and was happy playing the game thanks to my good teammates, and the fans who have cheered so much for me. So once again, I want to say thank you very much, and please give a lot of support to the other players who are still staying on and working hard.
------------
Sad to see Curious go, I wish him all the best.

The Gatekeeper of Code A, Curious will be missed. One of the few players from the original GSL Opens that was still playing. I'm guessing Leenock, Losira, aLive, and Ryung may not be too far behind. I expect Byun and Gumiho to stick around for quite awhile, Maru too if he stays interested.
Thanks for all the great games Curious, you've always been highly professional and put on a great show for your fans. We're gonna miss you and hope to see you streaming, coaching, casting, or otherwise involved in the scene.

We haven't seen many new players either... This is sad but it was expected.
|
so every player that MajOr knocks out of Code S retires afterwards?
|
one of the greatest, rip..
|
This is pretty big, he was good for years. Though sadly never really the best. RIP one of the oldschoolers.
|
No code A No Curious T.T He won the first tournament I ever watch live when I had no idea what Sc2 was, so I have good memories bout him, glhf,

Who will keep the gates now?

I wish Curious all the best, but I can't say that this surprises me in the slightest at all.

NOOOOOOOOO, the Gate Keeper! :'( That's just the natural cycle of a competition-based industry, I guess.
Hope everything is alright with this guy.

I will always remember him for that series against INnoVation in IEM qualifiers...
Sad to see him go, but not a huge surprise really
|
Very sad news. The gatekeeper and one of the OGs from the very beginning. He never won a GSL but had a few damn good runs. Inspirational story of giving it your all despite all the adversity. Goodbye you will be missed!
|
I will mis him. Good luck on everything he will be doing next.
|
Didn't know he was still active tbh, but sad to see him go. I remember him mostly for his great team streaks for StarTale.
|
R.I.P The GateKeeper.
Now his watch has ended.
|
|
I remember once when he made it really far into code s and artosis made a joke about how his coach told him it was still code a bit was a new format and curious was just like "okay." He kept winning until the round of 4 or so. I thought that was really funny. Anyway it will be sad to lose the gatekeeper of code a. He is a solid player. Goodbye curious.

Ouch.

His bo3 against innovation with the second game on frost, never forget, at his best, he was a beast.

|
Take care and thanks for the games over the years, Curious. Best of luck in future endeavours.

this sc2 exodus feels a lot like the broodwar scene in 2011

((((((((((
please not Creator next.

an other piece of starcraft history who retires
|
So sad.
|
I remember him from the old days when I watched the the-GSL. While he never won the Code S, he achieved Code A success and on top of that, some recognition other Code A players were denied.
I liked how Curious played Zerg. Even though he lacked some finesse, his zerg aggression was powerufl.
