To those complaining that any of us care about his return, its no different than being excited about seeing someone like White-Ra play. Its not always just about results. In all of sports people find individuals whose personalities and life stories resonate with their own personalities and experiences and feel a connection to that individual and a desire to see them succeed in whatever degree is meaningful to that individual. A lot of us felt a strong kinship with Nony from both his broodwar years and from his time in the SC2 public spotlight. For many people I'm sure the story of what he has been dealing with in his personal life has only amplified that connection. To see him come back to the community is exciting to us. We don't know if he can achieve what he's claiming he's set out to do, but we are excited to see him try regardless of whether he succeeds or not, because we as a community have come to care about him as a person, not just his success.

I'm sure I'm gonna lose some games on stream to some unsavory types. It's fine, I'll just learn from it and queue again and they can make of it whatever they want.

There is no doubt in my mind that this is worthy of a thread, NonY. You have contributed a lot to TL and to the SC2 community. All the noteworthy interactions you have had with your teammates and the community, seen and unseen. I saw on your Twitter you placed highly in a half-marathon awhile back, so no doubt you are capable of accomplishing great things. And I look forward to watching you in the future. Remember that every peak has a valley, so try not to get too up or down mentally at any time, about what some person says. Keep a consistent intensity going. Anyway, that's all I wanted to say. All the best going forward! ![]()

Cool to see you back in action Nony, I haven't watched in years but you were always one of my favorite players back in the WoL days.

Given an opportunity to pursue any career I wanted for one year, I would not choose SC2 as my career path.
