so i'll just say this, remember your snide holier than though responses to this post months from now, as team X,Y,Z announces disbanding and player A,B,C announce the switch to coaching a LoL team. Although I guess with EG disbanding their sc2 squad there really aren't any big teams to disband anymore. Team liquid is still around, but i'm not sure how many players on their roster are actually still active.
Even if it were naniwa or stephano who had way more success in sc2 than nony did announcing a return, i'd have the same response. it makes way more sense for nony to either go back to BW like many pros are, where he actually had legit success, or move on to LoL or DOTA where there's actual money
Did you actually read what the responses were? Did anybody, as a response to you, state that they thought SC2 was in a great state, or that they thought it was the best game to enter from a financial perspective?
You're just doom and glooming for no reason. Everyone here, as best I can tell, agrees with you that SC2 could be in a better state. But there's no point bringing it up here, because it's completely irrelevant to the topic. Had Nony said "I am returning to SC2 because I want to make a million dollars", then maybe your comments would actually have some merit.

The viewership numbers just aren't there, teams are disbanding, players are all retiring. Everyone else has already moved on to MOBAs, coaching or casting. Not a good move financially to be pro at sc2. Could be fine as a hobby, but can't be good enough to reach top level if its just a hobby.
He's taking a break from Helya Mythic progression, that's why :p

Attacking a point no-one made is the forum brawler's foremost weapon. Calling everyone kid being the second.
i really like reading this. and i immediately got SOTG flashbacks, i need that show in my life! have recently been watching a lot of best-ofs and stuff actually. there's a lot of content on youtube.
Well the names have all changed since you hung around But those dreams have remained and they've turned around Who'd have thought they'd lead ya Back here where we need ya
Yeah we tease him a lot 'cause we got him on the spot Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back, welcome back Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back We always could spot a friend, welcome back And I smile when I think how you must have been And I know what a scene you were learning in Was there something that made you come back again And what could ever lead ya Back here where we need ya

How do you know so much about Nony's financial situation?
Uh what does this have to do with anyone's specific financial situation? Its not a good move financially to be pro at sc2. There are no viewers, which means no individual sponsors, and which means the few remaining teams (which are pretty much all disbanded) have low salaries. Not a good move. How is this not clear from my post?
are you the guy who goes to mcdonalds and tell the cashiers "wow you know actually this food isn't that healthy"?
what if he buys a kale salad (WITH NO SAUCE) and then says that
