It just means that match fixing is/was even more widespread than even I thought. Sad that one of my favourite players who was hugely successful would do it, assuming he did as I haven't seen the evidence myself although for them to make an arrest you would assume they have some.
Amusingly it only took until post 24 for someone to name a likely match fixer as 'one of the good guys' left in the scene out of their list of five players. I count two very likely match fixers that I know of left on the proleague roster this round with a solid chance at a third based on the evidence I discussed back in HOTS, won't rehash it due to not particularly wanting to be banned from TL (I was warned for my last post that prime wasn't the end of the matchfixing scandal) the rest have mostly disappeared from the scene or faded from relevance, but if Life can do it... pretty much anyone could be doing it. If a certain Afreeca player and certain SKT player are next I wouldn't be surprised at all. The rest that are out there have faded a bit in relevance but we can all hope for a corruption-free esports in the future.
At the end of the day hopefully Life if he's guilty can find something to do outside of esports and serve as a warning to the up and coming young progamers that greed can ruin careers. It's sad that he has to disappear from the scene, but he does.
To any of the matchfixers out there on the off chance you read this - just retire before they catch up with you or at the very least never match fix again. Once you're out of the scene no one will care anymore. If an amateur like me can determine who's likely to be fixing based on basic data analysis, I can only imagine what the experts in the criminal justice system can do.
User was temp banned for this post. How come he was banned for this? You can hardly call what he wrote martyring and I can't see any other reason/s. The mods have been pretty clear about not wanting unfounded discussion about other potential matchfixers that haven't been officially accused yet, so him naming 'a certain Afreeca and SKT player' as the next people to get found out is pretty clearly not allowed.

Swoopae was just temp banned for 2 days by lichter.

Reason: While we all have our suspicions, making vague accusations of players without concrete proof will never be tolerated.

"post 24" lists INno, PartinG, Zest, Rogue; he accuses one of them of matchfixing, he then goes out of his way to mention "a certain SKT player", which only fits Inno. He just didn't outright say it because he didn't want to get banned.

Yeah, pretty obviously skirting around the rules. He was told not to name players, so he didn't "name" them.

Anyway, I still think a clear message at the top of the page wouldn't hurt.

Seeker actually said something about that when MK came up in this thread, not sure why it didn't end up as a mod note

If you're willing to go look it up, the information about who is suspected isn't significantly more difficult to find, even without a post number. I'd think just laying it like that in the open in here would be more punishable. I hope at least saying that there are other players besides the ones we know for certain have been investigated by KeSPA/prosecutor is still OK. The atmosphere around here is rather Orwellian...

And if you follow SC2 at all and the allegations it's not hard to determine who the "Certain Afreeca player" is either.
I won't name him here though
Edit: To be clear. I'm not accusing anyone, just saying if you know Swoopae you know who he meant

Stop this, I always see so many comments, so I think, there is some new info. But this "ban" / "no ban" discussion does not belong here, it belongs to the Automated banlist thread.
E.g. the information a few days ago, that Life might have a personal gambling problem, was very interesting and it adds quite a lot to the whole case. If you get into problems, you might do many things ... And before, Life seemed like an awesome rich young talented player with a lot of potential. After that info, it might be the case that he did not have any money left ...

Nah the ABL is only for meme shitposting. But this thread ought to be about Life, not Swoopae's continued baseless accusations.

Actually, he can be the first politician to sport a tin foil hat, if I might add.

You can unsub without much risk of missing anything. There will be a new thread/news if new info is released.
