Hi guys, after Flipsid3 Tactics made an amazingly transparent post about their teams' achievements over the year, I thought I would piggyback off that idea and go over DuSt Gaming this year. I also encourage more teams to do the same.

What did we do this year?

New Sponsor HYPE!

In October we announced the partnership with Tt eSPORTS. We are needless to say, super excited about this! We worked out a great deal with a company that has phenomenal gaming equipment. Our players have had the time now to practice with the gear and we can only say good things about it.

but what does that have to do with you?

Obviously we would love you guys to purchase Tt eSPORTS gear for yourselves. However, we have plans for the next year to get you guys swagged out in Tt eSPORTS. With giveaways and other events, all you have to do is stay connected with us.
Follow our Facebook and Twitter to hear about those upcoming events.

January 2015 Recruitment Tournament:
We hosted our first ever recruitment tournament. I think those events are usually really fun. unfortunately the turnout wasn't the best. Only two players showed up, so we took them! One of them is still on the team, Alceister, a Canadian terran, who this year won both the Season 4 and Season 5 ASL Vanguard League Titles.
ASL Vanguard Season 4
ASL Vanguard Season 5
Would we do it again? I believe so. Our team is always recruiting and the event was fun even with two players showing up, I also don't believe a future event could get any worse than that (laugh).

DuSt League
In August we decided to make a team league for the NA region. The goal behind it was simple: "we want games!". After signups, we had about 22 teams, 500$ in prize money (thanks to sYz-Adrenaline for the 300$ donation), a buggy website and a dream. The season went incredibly smooth, despite some teams dropping out. We had an amazing playoffs and a big congratulations to PSISTORM Gaming and Flipsid3 Tactics going to the Grand Finals, with PSISTORM Gaming taking the Season 1 Title. The Australian Exile 5 team took third and our DuSt Gaming took 4th.
DuSt League Season 1
Season 1 was a huge success and we will be putting up the registration for Season 2 during the Christmas holidays. We will be keeping the 500$ prize pool for Season 2 as well. Look out for the news.

ACHIEVEMENTS
Like mentioned above, In our Season 1 Team League in August, We took 4th Place! It's a pretty good result, but definitely something we hope to do better on in the future seasons. We are hoping that are new roster changes can fill the holes that were apparent during the time of the league.

WCS Season 3 America Qualifier #3, our protoss player Garrett "GayGuy" Miller was 1 map away from qualifying but lost 1-2 to Gravity's terran player Semper. It was a great series and just that feeling of almost getting a player into WCS was very motivating for us. Maybe 2016 will be our WCS year!

We were all over the ASL this year. Spear and Alceister dominated the Vanguard and Challenger division. Spear winning Season 4 Challenger and taking 4th place in Season 5 Challenger. Alceister taking down the Season 4 Vanguard League and Season 5 Vanguard League.

In November, Chris "Spectre" Neel won the University of Utah Crimson SC2 tournament by beating GM players like ZergZingZing and Jardozer in the finals.

Returned Players This Year
In our efforts to fill those roster holes, we have had 4 players return and added 6 new players as well. Returning to the team this year was our old team captain sWs who is now in charge of our CSGO team. The other 3 returning players are KellerMaN, LovE and Kirk. LovE will be focusing on streaming and casually playing in leagues.

New Additions This Year
Throughout the year, we've added Spectre and GayGuy, two constant top 16 NA GM players from the USA; and our Japanese terran player PSiArc, who captained Team Japan in Nation Wars III. Our most recent pickups include SteAdfaSt, a Canadian GM Zerg, he has played in many offline local Toronto LANs and will be a solid addition to our zerg lineup. We anticipate more players joining at the start of 2016 as well.

Adding Apocalypse
I thought I would make this it's own section and shed some light on why we picked up Apocalypse. Skill wise, he's amazing. I've known him since his time playing for Quantic Gaming, IvD Gaming and his short stint with PSISTORM Gaming. Recently he was under scrutiny when a match fixing scandal broke out involving him, a third party, and another player. After reading the evidence, we were not convinced he intentionally tried to involve anyone in match fixing. This guy is a well respected player, and a kind hearted person and many people voiced their opinions on how this couldn't be intentionally done by him, and we agree. There may have been language barriers clouding Apocalypse's ability to see what was really going on, but passing a contact over to someone doesn't conclude he had anything at all to do with the actual match fixing itself.

However, if Apocalypse is guilty, then better evidence should be shown to prove he directly attempted to match fix, the evidence presented was not enough to condemn him, but resulted in a pitchfork contest and we do not support that. While Apocalypse still has a leg to stand on, we have enough respect for what he's done to give him that shot. If no other team will, we will be that team. We believe in innocent until proven guilty beyond a doubt. We support him and all our players, and we will be doing our best to lift the bans from other private organizations and tournaments, and we will strive to put this unfortunate situation behind him. For those of you supporting him as well, we appreciate it and you can look forward to seeing him play in GSL, SSL, ESL, SC2SEA and many many more events he has not been barred from. This includes our DuSt League Season 2 coming up very soon.

Spear
Unfortunately, we say goodbye to a great teammate. Spear joined us in February of this year and will be serving his mandatory army service on December 20th. Our most valuable player, and definitely one of the most underrated, overlooked korean players. He went 8-1 in our Team League playoffs, All Killing Team Gravity, including a win from their WCS Challenger player Semper. In the Semifinals, he carried us on his shoulder with a 3-0 start vs Flipsid3 Tactics, beating WCS Challenger JonSnow, Elhaym and Padre before losing to WCS Premier player puCK. He has an ASL Season 4 Challenger Title. He holds an OSC bounty and is constantly in top 10 ranking for OSC points. He could cheese, he could macro game, and we will certainly miss him cleaning up online tournaments, the NA and KR GM server, and miss him on our roster. We wish him the best of luck in his military service and whatever his future holds. It has been an amazing 10 months with him and we are thankful for all the time he was put into helping DuSt be a great team, and he will be missed by us and the community all the same.

Overall it's been a great year and 2016 will hopefully be our year again to grow and expand into bigger things. Our roster is solid, events are in place and we are excited to see what Starcraft 2 will bring us in 2016. Support us on Facebook and Twitter and let's make it happen in 2016.

PSiArc, Spear and Apoc have had very good years!

PSiArc is currently 3rd in the OSC Wolrd Rankings, Spear 9th, and Apoc 35th.

Online tournaments wont be the same without Spear Hope he makes a return one day!

No Loki is a different player, he went inactive shortly after joining in September, had issues adjusting to the NA server.

Unfortunately . He also suggested that there probably wouldn't be a return but I can't imagine that is entirely true. Few people never come back. At least that is my hope.
