Important Announcement from Azubu:
We are deeply saddened by the news coming from the competitive StarCraft II scene in Korea. For those who are unaware, 12 people were just arrested in Korea for match fixing and illegal betting in competitive StarCraft II circuit. As a supporter of KeSPA and the competitive Korean pro gaming scene, this goes against everything we stand for. We expect our pro players to always compete at their highest level, and we will not tolerate players abusing the trust of the fans. Thus, Azubu will be taking a strong stance on this issue and we will be banning anyone who has participated in this match fixing incident from Azubu.tv.
Supporting the highest level of competitive play is important here at Azubu, and we will not tolerate any match fixing, illegal betting, or other abuses of the fans' trust. To support this promise, we will be working closely with KeSPA and other eSports organizations to protect the fans and the scene. Thankfully these events are rare, but we here at Azubu will be doing all that we can to support the integrity of competitive eSports.
Azubu has been streaming all SPOTV events in both Korean and English. Their support for KeSPA's call for a ban against streamers implicated in matchfixing contrasts Afreeca.tv's stance on the matter so far. It will be interesting to see whether other streaming platforms will follow suit and what the future will hold for platforms that decline on participating in this ban.

It is curious that a shady company owned by shady controllers adhere to Kespa's statement.
Perhaps it is a marketing strategy? "Hey, we're legal, not like the Afreeca guys!"

at this point Azubu has pretty much cleared out their shady past by providing the single best stream in the market (at least for us spectators)

People who have been making this argument over and over on this forum are either children or simply do not see the actual ramifications of allowing match-fixers to be present on websites that host legitimate professional tournament play.
If you genuinely like the players so much that you would continue to put the integrity of a platform in question then I don't really understand what the point of having player unions like kespa are for in the first place. The constant: "the law has already been served, let me ( or whoever else ) watch them!" ideology is the very reason they are in the situation in the first place. They lost one source of revenue, which was through cheating, and so next they will move on to exploiting whatever other means they can for additional money. If you think that it is okay to support these people after what they have done to the livelihood of other players in their region then there is certainly something wrong with the cultural, or perhaps individual, approach you have to this problem.
Tbh, to me it seems something more of a moral question than anything else. There is, as others have said, absolutely nothing wrong with them moving on and working in another area as many others do.

kespa isn't really a player union. It's more a esport-bussiness umbrella organization.
To let the matchfixers stream is a moral question for me, too. Especially in the case of prime one has to consider the hard circumstances they were in. That's no excuse but I think they deserve a second chance after the fulfillment of their punishment. They're humans after all and should not only be seen under the light of the mistakes they've done once. To ban them from streaming is in my eyes nothing other than dull revenge.
And if you say, they harmed the esport-scene. Yes, they probably did, but Gerrard also spent his life and all his dedication into the SC2-Scene delivering us fans greatest moments of the SC2-history. He probably didn't do all this out of greed. He was dumb and wrong and has driven players into their ruin. But it's not that nothing good had come out of him for SC2.
Plus I don't understand why the integrity of a streaming platform would be harmed if they allow streamers who did betrayal on another field. Streaming and tournaments are different things.

Don't interweave insults into your arguments for people who disagree with you. KeSPA is NOT a player union, not at all!
Did Zubu actually have any convicted matchfixers using their service? Also: Considering the shady history of this company I think of this statement as highly hypocrite.
