Yoe Flash Wolves' PartinG will be unable to compete in the upcoming season of Proleague, according to a report from DailyEsports. The former SK Telecom T1 player was originally set to compete in Proleague as a part of the Startale-Yoe alliance, but contract regulations have barred him from the tournament.

Contrary to previous reports, PartinG did not leave SK Telecom T1 at the end of his contract as a free agent. As PartinG left SK Telecom before this period, KeSPA has designated him as a player who has 'arbitrarily left' left his team. According to DES, (P)

PartinG is only eligible to play for SK Telecom T1, unless SKT puts in a request to the KeSPA chairman to free PartinG from the restriction.

Furthermore, (P)

Rain and

FanTaSy are also said to fall under the same restriction, although their contracts had ended in September. Though both players have played with SK Telecom for over five years, neither player had filled the requisite five years since their previous free agency.

TL;DR: PartinG, Rain, and Fantasy cannot compete in Proleague this season, unless it is for SK Telecom T1. The reason is that they did not leave SKT as free agents, leaving their Proleague rights remaining with SKT. This is due to KeSPA regulations where players must fill a certain length of time on their contracts before being eligible for free agency status.

We can hope that Parting will be freed from the restriction and allowed to play for SBENU (provided their partnership with yoe continues, which isn't a certainty), but right now there is no way to tell. If I were SKT and had the ability to keep one of the most dangerous Protoss players out of the playing field, I probably would.

I wouldn't, at that point it's more important to have good players in Proleague so that the scene lives. What's the point of dominating a heap of ruins...

Its hardly that dramatic though. It's only one player, albeit a good one.

The point is, T1's reaction was appropriate and legal; T1 informed them that they will be in a state of 'arbitrarily left' in advance, and they agreed; that's why T1 let them transfer without fee.

What matters here is fee; they can play for ANY team if there's a proleague team which pays fee to T1

Guys for some reason Idk the Liquipedia page says this starts at 19 KST. However the banner in Proleague's fb and Kespa's tweet say 18.30.

Maybe we should edit the event in the calendar to reflect this? I fear some people are gonna miss the beginning of the broadcast... Or is there any announcement changing the start time that I missed?
