Yeah, replaced PartinG with MMA. iunno they both belong there but I bet Stephano will be on top 10 too take away the foreign bias and just look at straight achievements. Stephano has 4 Premieres: all in the span of 1 year and all foreign LANs. Add in another 8-9 top 4 (again at foreign LANs). Contribution to game: mass infestor + BL. Parting has 4 Premiers: over 2 years all foreign LAN's, but has 4 2nd place finishes in Korean Premieres. (also one of those foreign LANs is the 2012 World Championship...) Plus another 6-7 top 4. Contribution to game: Soul train. Unless foreign bias is going to be present, I really dont see how stephano can ever be considered above Parting. edit: wasnt really targeting your post specifically, was just getting tired of seeing lists that had stephano and not Parting.

9. MMA 8.Parting 7. Zest 6. Innovation 5. Nestea. 4. Taeja 3. Life 2. MC 1. Mvp that would be my top 10 i think. Polt is probably the smartest player on the planet, only Mvp is on par with him. MMA had multiple super high peaks and has now his second era as a top 10 terran. partingis a monster who jsut produces results everywhere and always was strong in all match ups. zest, while being fairly shortlived, still has had some really impressive runs and consistently is now the number 1 or 2 protoss for 1+ years. Innovation had only few tournament wins, but dominated the terran scene for a year and is now back in form. Nestea, while having won many tournaments, won all of them against fairly easy competition and faded into obscurity much earlier than for example Mvp and especially MC. Taeja is, from pure instinct and talent aspects, the greatest terran to ever play, and the second greatest palyr overall. but he lacks the korean results, and it looks like he lost interest in conquering korea. that said, he won many more GSL-level tournaments and many more second tier tournaments than any other player previously mentioned on the list. Life is the greatest player from a pure talent viewpoint. he is very similiar to taeja in mayn aspects, but what puts him above taeja is that he actually made it in korea whereas taeja failed to win korean tournaments. also life had the better head to head. thoguh you could argue that life was less consistent, outside of his slump in 2013 he was fairly close to top level paly at all times. MC is now a top 10 protossat least for 5 consecutive years, has won a gajillion tournaments and accumulated riches beyond ones comprehension. he also always seems to be able to dance with the best of the best while in their respective primes. MC is strong in many protoss playstyles, thoguh obviously he is the god of protossbullshit and very much the inventor of the term. all that puts him on number 2, even though life and taeja are arguably better than he is. and MVP is the obvious number 1. the king of wings, who won tournaments both through mechanical prowess and sheer mentality and genius alone. at all times through wings of liberty he palyed versus the best and more often than not beat them. even when all odds were stacked against him he still persevered and won champiuonships. the amount of korea based achievements he ahs is unprecedented, and it is fairly unliely that anyone will ever get as much done as he has. maybe Life, but else ypou have noone close to contending him. add to that his sizeable amount of international success and the fact that even in HOTS he still beat many great palyers for half a year+ and almost beat innovation when he peaked (aka probably the best palyer of all time at his peak) and you have a legendary entity, a behemoth of starcraft, the king of wings, the jurgen, the god, the bonjwa.

The discovery of such a strat is an enormous feat any progamer should be proud of. quite true, stephano contribution to meta is massive, my issue is more that (outside his fan legion) he wasnt ever really considered close to "best in the world atm". Maybe its a misconception on my part, but looking at the basis written in the intro, this alone is a big negative. Add in zero results in korea and a relatively short peak time and I dont see a resume based on the criteria listed that would put him above parting.
