this is really sad news. first saw him hosting the british qualifier for wcs two years ago and he took hosting a sc2 event to the next level. guess he will now be able to see his family more often when he is located in England again. (gfinity is British right?)
Hell, it´s about time

But as far as SC2 is concerned, they'll never rule as players. France, however, is becoming the next best thing after Korea with PetitDrogo, Lilbow, MLorD and FireCake.

(Take that from the Frogs Perfidious Albion )

lmao.*
Sweden, Finland or even Norway are so much ahead in terms of players compared to France.

by the way, just for enlightenment, is there a uk player still performing ? (:p)

Finland might be close to France, but Sweden and Norway? Please.
And I guess BlinG is still performing? He had decent results last year.

Well Lilbow and MLord are skillwise compareable with snute and TargA, Firecake isn't that good (if playing long gakes is not taken into account) and Drogo? He is also not that great of a player. Sweden lost their touch though recently and finnland is skillwise with serral and welmu compareable with mlord and lilbow

Snute is arguably better than any French player currently, but Lilbow, MLord, FireCake and possibly Drogo are above TargA. And we are talking about 4 players for France, while only two for Norway. I love Eiki but he is not on the level of said French players, just like anyone else from the Norwegian scene. Sweden is basically Norway but weaker, and Finland has two very good players.

Sad to see him leave ESL, he was always a pleasure to watch in both WCS and IEM, whoever ESL get to fill his shoes has a massive hole to fill (and drop merchandise in too ).

Gfinity is gonna be so good with both Robert Ohlen and Redeye part of the company. Hopefully they'll fill the void left by DH and boost the UK e-Sports scene. (EVENTS IN THE NORTHERN HALF THE COUNTRY PLS)

Flying on the Jin Air hype plane. Lets go Maru, Rogue, sOs and the handsome CJ herO

Sad to see Paul leave ESL because he was one of the crucial faces of the organization but Gfinity must be close to his heart due to being in the UK. On Gfinity's side the organization is picking up some big people like Robert Ohlen and now Paul.

Gfinity looks really sick to be honest! Weekly content rotating Starcraft 2, Hearthstone, CS:GO, Fifa and Call of Duty.

Weekly content from march to november. I can see this becoming really popular and it could be a great local place to hang out regularly for londoners.

The line-up for the first SC2 event is quite decent too considering its only $10k prizepool with MC, Parting, Rain, ForGG, Jaedong, Soulkey, Bunny, Snute + 8 qualifiers. Im definetely gonna tune in. The Hearthstone event has an awesome lineup too with many of the biggest names in hearthstone. Maybe i'll even tune into CS:GO, im not very into the competitive cs:go scene yet but it seems to be thriving. Also Fifa regularly pulls in more viewers than sc2 nowadays just with some random streamers i've never heard of. I think they deserve some events.

Not sure if they can keep it up to get great players that people want to watch every week consistently though.

Glad he ended up going to Gfinity. They seem to have some potentially huge plans in the future, and someone like Redeye wouldn't just go for the money and risk losing his place in the scene unless there was a structured plan .

GL at Gfinity Paul!
I used to play random, but for you I play very specifically.

Snute is better than any french player has ever been and by far, he could probably all-kill them, 1 at the top is always better than 4 average.
Finland seems to be in a better shape than Sweden, Morrow has not yet find the correct gameplay for midmacro game and naniwa...well naniwa what else?
I dont know if welmu fixed his pvp but if he did, he could propably take them all except Mlord and Serral is on fire^^

But i believe french folks will be rising soon, the growth of ogaming can be a huge help for the french scene. I hope one day they'll be as good as Vasa, the greatest caster of the universe.
