If you look at EG's activities across all games in their docket lately you will see one HUGE focus on North America as a market. EG with the sponsors and money they have could probably have gotten a very competitive EU team for CS:GO, but all signs point to an NA team. Doesn't matter who they pick up in CS:GO the team won't be seriously competitive internationally for a very long time. So the focus on the NA market makes sense. ] The smaller market share of SC2 also means they need to focus on where they put their money. Unless they are in the NA scene (living in NA, playing in WCS NA) they likely aren't anywhere near the EG radar. I am sure with LotV and renewed interest in SC2 that will most definitely come with it, that we will see more investment in SC2 from EG again but it will be on the American scene, or in importing a talent to the American scene if they do sign a non-american. | ||
