In order to implement additional network it requires development time, testing time etc. not too mention probably redesigning some built in features (here I'm shooting blinds but chat - for example). So the cost is real, even if Blizzard can swallow it without hiccup it's present. What will be real value added to the product? Few people will be slightly more happy but that's it? Financially none. Additionally the balance team would loose hands on access to all the pro games played via LAN that I imagine they can easily analyze for the purpose of their work. So in fact the value of LAN is negative with price attached. | ||
