Choi "Trust" Sung Il may have had the right moves to win a trip to Battle Grounds Global during Thursday's qualifying round, but unfortunately he didn't have the right paperwork to attend the event on August 8th. Due to Trust not having a valid passport, he's had to decline his trip to Battle Grounds Global.
His loss, however, is his senior teammate's gain: Kim "herO" Joon Ho, who lost to Trust in the semifinal round on Thursday, will be taking Trust's place. This will also give fans a chance to see one of Proleague's biggest stars in cutthroat competition

Aw man that sucks so hard

It really sucks for Trust, but I'm excited to see more of herO. His pvp isn't great atm but his other matchups are still strong particularly vs zerg, so he should do well.

Yeah but we have seen tons of herO. It shouldve been Trusts chance to shine and win fans :/
|
Now herO will have to win the tournament in his honour

Hopefully he can do that by pulling off an upset in his Code S group.

Well he's in a group of soO, DRG and Stork. So as long as you don't mind him beating any of those you can cheer him on

Yeah in so many groups this season I find myself wanting more than 2 to advance. I'm mean Group G with Dear, TY, TRUE and PartinG is cruel. But at least it means we should see great games.

This kind of sucks. Trust should be going, and am I the only one who thinks that there should be a playoff between the other semifinalist (MMA) and herO for the spot? Just a thought

OMG that is ridiculously stacked...

Wow, he is skipping a tournament, where he has high chances of getting into the money to play a qualifier, where he has Rain in the first round, a possibility of Maru in the second, PartinG in the third and Soulkey in the fourth? If that is really the reason, than herO is a brave man.

Haha lol xD agreed, kind of think the scary possible match in the fourth would be Zest though Not that he'd get that far being on Maru´s side of the bracket

The reward for success is higher though. He wins RBBG Global, he gets 4k-6k (Something like that), If he wins the WEC Qualifier, he has a good shot at 24k.

<3 herO I hope he actually plays

Well now there won't be any Protoss, which is kind of a pity. I wish a couple players had been seeded in, but I guess there's only so much you can control with these things. Now I just wish that MMA had originally beaten Hydra and none of this snafu had ever happened.

This is actually a pretty cool lineup, and we have some potentially classic matches, like Polt/DRG or MMA/DRG.
All these zergs are really freaking good, I'm worried the Terrans are gonna get beaten up hahaa. Maybe they're coming into their own with the new patch though.
|
wow, so that means this redbull tournament won't have a single protoss player
flash vs jaedong if they both win their first matches
