guess thats the final nail in the coffin to all those clinging onto sc2's past glory. new generation is up but it will never be the same as the goood old MKP IMMvp and DRG. RIP

2013 - 190,836 (Wol Winnings only)
2013 - 2,285,999 (HOTS Winnings only)
2014 - 2,281,175

so for the premier Tournaments there isnt really a huge decrease I cant say for the Major or minor tournaments. But all in all the money is still getting shoveled down sc2s throat.

What has been awarded so far imho, since the post that I quoted has a bigger number than Aligulac. He probably has counted all price pool, already earned or not.
Edit : There is more than $1M in pending already haha.

Kespa or Axiom would probably the only ones that could afford to send him to foreign events.

EG no longer seems interested in SC2, unless they have a chance at a huge name like Flash or Fantasy.

But yeah, MarineKing and DRG are definitely the two hottest free agents at the moment.

Sc2 was dying at the end of WoL already for me, Blizzard screwed this game's balance too hard, and now every mainstream players leave their team, Sc2 can't shine as bright as before with the new generation, there is no more hype

Haha, I must be the only fan not to be too sad about not calling him "MKP" anymore. I'm sad about him leaving his iconic team, but I've never been a fan of the acronym stuff. "MarineKing" is fine, and "MarineKingPrime" was badass as fuck.

I agree with you.
Nearly every friend that I knew that used to play/watch left during the end of the WoL era when it was like Top16 only ZvZs and never got back into it later on. It's a shame because when Blizzard doesn't do idiocies balance wise, it's a beautiful game
