SuNo isn't going to get picked up by a KeSPA because he has military very close. ESF is not around anymore, ST is the only valid option but they aren't really in a situation to be giving out contracts. I don't think many foreign teams were clamoring for his contract since he is a relatively unpopular player in the foreign scene because he doesn't get out of Korea much. I also think he wanted to stay in Korea (travel once in a while not stay overseas like MC), otherwise he definitely would've had more chances or tried his hand at MC's house.
Looking at how the WCS America CHAMPION (Pigbaby) is currently teamless. As well as Dear (WCS 2013 Season 3 Champion). As well as viOLet and legends like Mvp and Nestea. I guess hard region lock fanatics got their wish, slow death of Korean Sc2.

If SNova has a Millitary service soon no wonder that even Liquid or other big teams not contacted him it was same for golden etc. Sadly I don't what ROOT promised to SNova since even ViBE lost his passion of being in root because of almost no support and pay checks for tourneys (they were both rising money with livibee...) Overall great pickup, but I hope you did not promised him bunch of bullshit and SNova wont end like Hyun

You can't recoup value by what he wins in tournaments/how he performs. Nobody remembers the guy who finishes ro32 in WCS, outside of "oh that guy's consistently code s, congrats to him!" I doubt Root is paying him big money, but it does seem like a random pickup. I doubt he'd move to the Root house. Maybe they'll send him to a few international events which would be cool, but ultimately if he doesn't win then the value doesn't get returned to the team.
