WCS AM Ro32 concluded as (Z)iG.XiGua and (P)Arthur bested Suppy and Sen to make it to the Round of 16. It was a relatively easy day for XiGua, who beat a seemingly disinterested Sen and held Arthur's predictable all-ins to advance in first place. His use of burrowed roaches was one of the few highlights of the evening, along with an out-of-character macro game from second place finisher Arthur. While the Korean Protoss' penchant for all-ins proved enough on the day, he will have to show that he's more than just a two trick pony if he's to make it to the knockout stages of WCS AM.

The most disappointing player of the evening was Sen, whose struggles in WCS AM continued. He showed none of the form that has already earned him gold at ECL and two silvers in TeSL as he was ousted with a single win to his name. Meanwhile, Suppy's inability to stop Arthur's all-ins ensured that MajOr would be the only North American in the Round of 16.

The next round of groups for WCS AM were drawn, and they will be played offline at the ESL Los Angeles studios from the June 24 to July 2.

Ro16 Groups
Group A: (P)Pigbaby, (T)Heart, (Z)XiGua, (P)Oz

Group B: (Z)HyuN, (Z)Revival, (P)Alicia, (Z)NesTea

Group C: (T)Bomber, (Z)TooDming, (T)Polt, (Z)Check

Group D: (Z)viOLet, (T)MajOr, (T)TaeJa, (P)Arthur

13 koreans (max possible) 2 chinese and 1 crazy mexican advance ?

really watching EU is way more fun as us has simply NO upsets expect the fail of jd which isnt that big (vs other koreans)

sad not a single korean had not qualified if he not lost to another korean
sry to say it this way but na is boring as hell EXPECT the crazy mexican guy which i think will create the maximum of viewers, which made it so huge when he posted "perhaps can go etc" because that would mean 3 chinese 13 koreans

all i can say to huk and scarett is DAMN TRAIN MORE for the rest of na i sadly dont see any chances in the future

Wow. Even with the groups redrawn, HyuN, Revival, and Alicia end up together, and in group B again. Only Oz escapes the group of death, leaving NesTea to his fate.

I'm confused.. How can they re-draw groups? And from the tweet it said 'groups were too random' meaning that they picked certain groups? Thought it was supposed to be random @_@

So which one is it? The groups mentioned in the OP or this one on Liquipedia? http://i.imgur.com/nEnbAaS.png

Hero died to Huk. Jaedong lost to Has and Jim, so he lost to the Chinese not the Koreans.

Here is a picture so you can remember Has' glory:

Maybe he means we should have expected Jaedong to fail, and expect the "crazy mexican guy" to get viewers

it can't be that one, since they can't play against someone they faces on Ro16 (Major and Polt are on the same group). It's more likely to be the on on this thread, although there's no info on the WCS website.

Those groups that had Major and Polt in the same group were the ones that were shown live on the WCS broadcast immediately after the group today.
