 CMStorm_Polt and MajOr put some of the "America" back into WCS America, advancing out of Group G in the round of 32.
Two-time WCS America champion Polt showed that CMStorm was right to extend his contract, taking first place in his group. Though MajOr put the heat on Polt in an intense, split-map game on Habitation Station, Polt seemed largely untroubled on the whole as he went a perfect 4-0 on maps.
MajOr came through in second place with wins over the group's Chinese duo of  ZOO.Courage and  iG.MacSed. MajOr was able to see through MacSed's phoenix-colossus style in his initial series, toppling MacSed by attacking him before he could reach critical mass. In the final match, MajOr survived Courage's waves of banelings to earn a spot in the Ro16.

Players qualified for Ro16:
Pigbaby, Oz, Alicia

I can see Major getting through his second group if he doesn't get stuck with two of the top-tier Koreans (the Terrans...). He actually played a fairly close series between Polt, with a pretty back-and-forth game 2, so who knows!
I don't expect Suppy to go through, but he's been in Korea hasn't he? That might be what he needed! I think Arthur will be first, but if Suppy's ZvZ is in good shape, he could definitely take 2nd.

Well just saw reddit post about major might not go because he doesn't want to pay for the flight.

hey. idk what you ppl saying but mexico to los angeles flight cost around 600-650 and its supposed to be covered as they said that all transportation would be covered for NA players. but than they told me only 500$ so im not paying 150 + possible 200 of taxis from airport. especially when i hear that kr players get 1k covered. when they said korean players wouldnt get their shit covered.

Why is Major always complaining? After the loss against Taeja he raged on the forum, yesterday he complained about the format before even starting the games, now that he won he complains about expenses...

Pretty legit complaint if they are giving Koreans more than Americans as a stipend for their costs, considering the competition is trying to reduce the number of Koreans participating.
Major ends up paying out of his own pocket for only the potential of an increase in prize money.
Currently as a top 16 player he gets $2000.
If he travels and loses, he gets $2000 less $300 for his expenses, or $1700.
If he travels and wins he gets $3000 less $300 for his costs or $2700.
He's guaranteed to spend $300 or w/e travelling, he's not guaranteed to earn money from doing so, is his argument.

I am sure they have calculated about $16k travel compensation if all 16 are nonNA. So now they have a NA player and suddenly they dont want to pay $16k? Highly illogical.
Edit: @Lonyo, you forgot another travel for Ro8.

Wow, MajOr has been a beast for the last couple of weeks. It would be a shame if he doesn't participate in the RO16. WCS NA have to get their shit together and pay for his flight.

OMG! Awesome, there is actually a player from the american continent in the Ro16 WCS NA.
Congrats to MajOr ! I can understand his complains here, it is WCS NA, they dont really pay the Koreans more than someone from America ? That is a shame !
