As everyone knows, gomtv.net no longer exists and all of their content is being run through twitch and youtube now. They intended to move all of the gsl vods over to the gomeXp youtube channel, however there is a significant portion from 2011 that did not make it there. These videos, as far as I know, are no longer able to be found anywhere on the internet.
I've tried periodically contacting anyone I could from gom over the past few months, but I'm yet to get a word of reply... So I'm turning to the teamliquid community for help finding the missing gsl videos.
Specifically these seasons of GSL are missing from the gom youtube channel:
2011 Sony Ericsson Global StarCraft II League January 2011 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ GSL March 2011 LG Cinema 3D World Championship Seoul 2011 LG Cinema 3D Global StarCraft II League May 2011 Global StarCraft II Team League February 2011 Global StarCraft II Team League March 2011 Global StarCraft II Team League May and although it is not GSL, I'm sure many people would like to see the GomTV Classic as well.
In a more ideal world, gomtv could be convinced somehow(through personal contact or incessant nagging) to upload these to their youtube page and keep the history of GSL complete. It would be nice for it to be in an accessible place like youtube, but if getting it via torrent is what it takes that is fine too. If anyone is able to help in either method it would be working a small miracle, and I would be extremely grateful.

I don't know where the 2011 videos went, but having been out of the loop for a while, I didn't realize they had relocated to YouTube. This is actually amazing. It means everything is free now. No having to pay like $5-10 per season just to watch VODs.

There are torrents for 2011 VODs but I don't think they have any seeders on public trackers.

You still have to pay to watch all the recent VODs, they only upload the first game of every series right now. You can watch all the Korean VODs for free though.

For a while 2011 GSL November was missing too but after I bugged them for a while in the Discussion section of their YouTube page (http://www.youtube.com/user/exp/discussion) they uploaded it. Have you tried that? When I tried contacting them in other ways like through the GOMEXP website, that didn't work for me either but using the Youtube site worked.

It's worth a try, thanks.

I have parts of these if you're still interested. PM me, if so.

Yeah, I just wanted to rewatch 2011 LG Cinema 3D World Championship Seoul, especially Mvp's games, but they are missing
|
It should be possible to get these. All VODs were posted to Demonoid(and other torrent trackers). Even though I had a sub, I downloaded all of them, but unfortunately I lost all my VODs(along with 1TB of BW VODs...) in a hard disk crash.

Well, I found some torrent files with this tournament, but there is 0 seeders there, so it is not possible to get this vods anyways

You haven't, unfortunately, as the vods uploaded on gomtvnet were previews, all limited to 15 minutes length
edit: youku has most of the missing vods in korean. I would love gomexp to upload them too, I agree.

I'm seeding the Korea vs World portion of this on the TL VOD tracker now.

talk about a necro.
Still this is a good thread. I was just going through their YT channel last night and they STILL haven't uploaded the VODs.
|
Thanks for posting the Korea vs World match

So does anyone else have links to missing GSL seasons?

Bumping for justice.
Pretty pretty please!

I'm pretty sure that I have July vs MC GSL Code S Finals somewhere on one of my hard-drives, if anyone would be interested.

I have the first couple GSL open seasons, but they're all illegally torrented and on another computer I never use anymore

Anyone? I'd love to preserve these. Especially now that GomTV is no more.
Even the Korea vs. World torrent given here earlier is unseeded now...

Does it have the winner interviews too? The torrent I had a couple of years ago had them all and some of them were great.
If anyone has the disk space it might be a good idea to DL all of GOMs YouTube VODs in case they get taken down due to the Afreeca buyout.

It doesn't really matter (at all) but the first game of Sopiawerra vs Ensnare (from Ro64 Open Season 1) was never uploaded on the Gom youtube channel, so if you still have it from the torrents

Certainly.

To me every piece of history does matter. Definitely if anyone has even a small part of what's missing, please share it.

Ah so other people noticed these seasons are missing too. Currently I have a playlist of every game a foreigner has played in GSL but it isn't complete without Jinro beating MC, Jinro vs IdrA in Ro8, HuK making Code S etc.
|
Does anyone have the VODs for the GSL 2011 January Season, specifically for Code A? I would be most grateful if someone does.
|
I remember being so pissed that they charged for VODs back then. Go figure that now they are unavailable. What a terrible thing for esports.
|
sorta unrelated but, what's the best way to watch current GSL now? Do they upload every match to youtube? I'd be interested in seeing VODs from the day after, particularly interested in this upcoming season in LotV.
|
Hey not sure if this helps friends, but I was able to watch GSL 2011 season 1, as wells as the GSTL1 from here https://starcraftvods.com/downloads.html
a treasure.... can't seem to get the following seasons due to no seeders for now.
Shame
