Yeah sorry about missing Samsung v CJ, fixed. First site out this week was Inven which was an image so couldn't be machine translated, then it was Kespa which I didn't have a parser for, so it got a bit wonky.
I wonder if Byun will play at all this round. He was in team list last round too I believe, but still didn't play. If MKP performs plus Byun gets back into the mix Prime could actually win some stuff.
I'm pretty sure Byun will play eventually. They went out of their way to say that he was back or still around or whatever when they made the MKP announcement.
If only SKT would play twice this week, maybe i would have picked fantasy then, but now i am not really sure if he is "a thing" this round or if this is only a reminder that he is still on the team ^^
Didn't even notice the new maps what with the cool lineup stealing the show. I think and hope this marks the final death of Bel'shir. I'd imagine Soulkey vs Reality made people never want to see Star Station again xD
Too bad Polar Nights and Yeonsu are in though. They probably want to keep the majority of the pool as familiar WCS/Ladder maps, but those two are some of the worst modern maps we've had. Sadly, Daedalus and Alterizim don't seem like better alternatives ..

Why hate on Yeonsu?
Polar night i get but yeonsu is nice imo
TvZ: 84-50 (62.7%) [ Games ] ZvP: 96-128 (42.9%) [ Games ] PvT: 129-100 (56.3%) [ Games ]

Bad news for the FPL team I'm about to make. (*fanboy gonna fanboy*)
To be fair there was one week where they played Parting/Classic and skipped out on Rain (despite him being the best player).

Even if he is really good I highly doubt he'll be a mainstay.

not the most balanced map
Besides the balance I also find it to be a rather dull map. Granted, lately we've had some really good games on it (Jaedong vs HerO for instance). On a more minor note, it's very ugly aesthetically imo.

and sure enough.. :D
looks like IM went with the predictable Life/Curious/Byul + random IM toss
Maru vs Flash Life vs Fantasy
are going to be some interesting rematches
To be honest that team has do many players at around a similar level that it could easily be 3 Protoss plus Zerg or even throw in hack. I wouldn't be surprised if the IM have teams shifting frequently

And of whom just one a stacked tournament. What a sick line-up!

Wow the teams all agreed to play Terrans or wtf is this? Guess the first games don't really matter even if you lose, you can just put 4 protoss players rest of the round.

Can't wait to see MKP
Considering Terrans are at the top in PL it's not that silly.

I think Classic is a better player than PartinG. SoulKey is a Zerg to not send out all Protoss. Perhaps FanTaSy is playing well. Rain is about as good as PartinG, in my opinion. With a lineup as deep as SKT's, all players are bound to not get played on occasion.

probably length
Can't remember where i read that but i think that is the reason to (also earlier start and all). Would be even harder to maintain a bo5 if next season teams like acer or axiom where going in.
I can't remember a time where KespA had more than 8team in PL. I think that never happened no ?. Maybe at eStro's time ?

Dam its sad what SC2 did to the old great BW rivalries but Stork was one of the few who could go into a game vs. Flash evenly matched. Im praying it gets to the 4th set.

Classic is very good. But he's not better than PartinG. Regardless they are both better than Fantasy.

Classic might not have the same flair or special builds that Parting has, but watching his GSL games last night, he's just really really solid. And that's probably more valuable in PL than what Parting has, because it makes him less vulnerable to snipers and he's still pretty much a guaranteed win

Its not like Parting has some super weakness in any of his matchups either. He is just as solid in PvT and PvP and he has SOUL TRAIN for PvZ.

Actually PartinGs PvZ is a lot better than Classics, whose winrate is lowest of his 3 matchups by far. In Proleague, that's going to be very valuable. That's why I switched PartinG and Classic.
