This seems to say that the Championship at Anaheim will be AM only. Love it, an AM only tournament would be a nice start for MLG in 2014, like the early early days.
the level would be lower than a good zotac on NA so you've to be interested by those players. The problem is that the gap between most kor and most NA pro (everyone except scarlett) is way too big to mix the 2 and have an interesting tournament.
If it works it's really good for the NA scene tho.

Destiny casting will be AWESOME!
Will it be NA ONLY, or NA+EU?
Dont listen to the nay-sayers, I was sad when you dropped SC2 first but now Im really happy you have it again!

I'd wager they're open to community feedback, so let's give it to them. if you make it NA only in the brackets and open in the qualifiers we'll have what we basically had towards the end of 2011 where you had mediocre players in the brackets and code s players going through the qualifiers. Not that that's bad. I wouldn't mind an NA only open bracket if they invited a couple koreans and seeded them into pool play like the exchange thing they used to do. Think that would be pretty cool and a decent compromise.
The Open bracket doesn't have to be American only - since MLG doesn't pay for the flights for the players in the open bracket, the number of Koreans there will be rather low anyway.
Overall I think an AM-only tournament isn't the way to go. I might be the only one, but for me the best moments of almost every tournament are the ones, when a foreign underdog eliminates a Korean favorite (Scarlett vs Bomber?). I like the idea of region-locked online tournaments, but for an offline-event I think an open tournament is way more entertaining to watch. Even if it ends in a Korean-only finals... I mean... Dreamhack has a Korean-only finals quite often, but the tournaments are just awesome to watch. Lots of foreigner vs Korean stuff with a world class finale.

My reservations about Destiny are because he left SC2 because it was dying and terrible or something to that effect (paraphrasing). Then came back when he missed the money (my own spin).
I do wonder what they're going to do re: Polt and Violet. I'm sure whatever they decide will be controversial and I don't envy whoever has to take the heat for it lol.

I don't actually mind either way which direction they decide to go in, but I'd be very annoyed if someone like Demuslim is able to attend and Polt can't for all intents and purposes they have the exact same qualifications for being there.
All or nothing, don't pick favorites that's all I ask.

He is a streamer who left for a game with 10x the viewership, paying rent is more important than Esports. He still knows the game, he is still funny, and he is smart enough to know when to keep it in his pants, so to speak. Well, most of the time, but you get my meaning.
If you think he came back for the money, fair enough, but given he does not play any tournaments and is not on a team, how much money can he really make off of a 3-4k stream?
