So out of 2 qualifiers, we have 2 failures of quite large proportions.

I don't understand how NASL are so bad at sorting this out?

They have priorities, give them some slack. Apparently 17 people tuned in for the World of Tanks finals so they had to put all their staff on urgent to keep it running under the demand.

On one hand this is a big mess and they really should have checked for 200 wins prior to starting the tournament. On the other hand people should not have signed up if they didn't have 200 wins

This is quite a surprise. I would have never thought it possible.

200 wins is alot. I think they would be better of with 200 or 250 games PLAYED on the server

I was playing 8-10 games every work day while working 8 hours a day when I was playing SC extensively. 15-30 on saturdays and sundays. At that rate, would have taken me what, 40 work days, or less than a month if including weekends to hit the prerequisite 200 wins (assuming 50% win rate)?

200 wins last season is nothing for a pro gamer who would play more than I would on average. Considerably less for a Korean player expecting to stomp all over the competition who could theoretically get the 200 wins in a week. The higher the number of required wins on ladder the better off the local competition will become.

I can understand the american players signing up though. I dont get why the ladder qualifier doesnt allow every resident to enter+ foreign players who met the win requirement.
It takes one chance away from native players for no reason. Cant grind 200 wins out in 3 days. Dont really know when the announcement went live, so I dont know how long they had last season

I wouldn't call this qualifier a "failure" yet. It might be delayed, but as long as all the players who should be DQ'd get DQ'd it'll hopefully work out. Hopefully T_T

Edit: grammar

People didn't get the 200 wins rule, registered with less wins, were allowed to start since no-one checked from the beginning and are getting DQ:ed now halfway through the qualifier? And now there is a one hour break? WCS NA!

Wins from both this season and last season count. So if you had 150 last season and 50 this season and masters, you're ok. Edit: I was informed this is not necessarily the case, we'll see what the final word from the NASL admins is.

The point of requiring it for everyone is so that people have incentive to play on the local ladder.

Lol players sign up without checking if they have 200 wins. NASL is so confused why players would not check on this fact, they are forced to postpone to assure everyone who is playing has won 200 games.

Moral: Never trust players to do anything right or do simple things, like count to 200.

Ok I didnt know that. I thought its 200 in a single season. Looks pretty reasonable then, especially for pros.

That was on the 21st when the 200 win requirement was initially announced. The dates for the qualifiers was announced like, 2-3 weeks ago. Also the 200 wins is for current or previous season, and there was plenty of time last season to get 200 wins. Especially for someone who was serious about wanting to qualify.

Maybe they postponed for now because they want all the games to be over and cast from replays.

Back from doing stuff, glad to see everything is proceeding as smoothly as before. Nothing new on the western front.

It's not added between seasons. It's 200 wins in current or previous season, not 200 wins in current and previous season :3
