Seems like the scene has shifted away from people cheering for one team and watching rookies grow, to people who just want to see which ever player is performing well that month get drafted to create some dream team of their favorites. Pretty lame if you ask me, no team rivalries what so ever.

The truth is that most people commenting on this never were into BW PL and don't understand the glory that once was. For better or for worse.

It probably has a lot to do with how there was little emphasis on team leagues throughout the history of sc2, so the people who pretty much only followed sc2 focus more on the individual results and pick favorite players from that rather than a team.

There also seem to be a lot more opportunities for individual players to show off their skills.

Maru moving out of Prime?

I guess it´s time to become Team Liquid fan then rather than Prime fan.

Now SK has Rain, Classic, Parting, Soulkey, SoO, Fantasy and guys like Sacsri to back it off. PL is like: let's make this bo 5, maybe someone wants to go to Prime to get more playing time.
Seriously the only thing that can stop them are Problems, if Players get mad because they feel like they need to play more.

Pretty big imo. SKT T1 just got a lot stronger in PL. Sad that Stars folded though but it's been known for a while that they might especially after they went from running a team to personally sponsoring Soulkey and sOs.

this. I never watched much GSTL and only some PL(whatever I could with the time it was on) but much more individual tournaments whether GSL, OSL or WCS.

Plus players who are excellent in teamleagues and have trouble in individual events are not really respected, such as Yonghwa, Sniper (before he won GSL), Super.

Well, not always. Players like MMA and DRG became popular from GSTL success, and Gumiho was pretty popular despite never being particularly successful in individual leagues.

Wasn't Kwanro on SKT when he made it to MSL finals?

A bit sad about Woongjin. More and more great teams and players of the BW era finding their end in SC2...

Still happy that the most valueable players were able to find new teams. SKT holding strong! Also nice additions for T8/Green Wings.
