Makes perfect sense to do a Russian event with how many Russians tune into Dota 2.

I'm ok with a DH in Moswcow, even if there could be a more open country for it.

If the olympics can get away with a Winter Olympics, then DH doesn't deserve this type of attack!

What shocks me in these news is Portugal having 1,85% of the viewers.. how can it be possible when we are so few? Even ahead of Austria, Spain and Australia..

GG DH!

Is the dreamhack kickoff 2014 a LAN event?

Im going to be in gothenburg at that time and would love to go to dreamhack as I am an American. I have always wanted to attend a dreamhack and this would be my only chance so I hope theyre having a tournament!

More CS:GO than SC2? Can't tell if ded game or if CS:GO is finnally catching on
Once is an accident. Twice is coincidence. Three times is an enemy action. Bus Driver can never target themselves I'm sorry

It was the largest event of the year (decade) for CS:GO. Compared to a normal major event for SC2.

I did have more fun watching CS:GO than I did SC2.

Does anybody have any more information about the various locations and what games/theme they have?

I hope Alliance can rise up from their slump. I don't want them to be considered as pre-patch pros

DH is in Sweden too so they should have the home advantage!

Since 6.79 hit they are the 5:th Dota 2 team counting the money at 35 080. Since the patch hit they also have the following stats:
Team Matches W L Win %
Alliance 86 ___ 62-24 _0.721
Compare to for example Navi with 67 390 in winnings.
Team Matches W L Win %
NaVi ___88__ 49-39 _0.557

They are still a top 10 team globally and top 3 Europe. They might no longer be top 1 globally, that doesn't mean they are performing badly now. Though Gosubet ranking still has them as number one based on rating.

i wonder what the difference at the stream view numbers is between "Unique Views" and "Unique Views (de-duped)". to me "unique views" somehow are already de-duped, because each IP is only counted once. but what is the difference? the de-duped metric is less than half of the non de-duped metric...

Didn't they say they were going to try a DH on a different continent? Was really hoping it would be a main stop instead of a side event if it even exists

Yes, but for next years events instead of past ones. Or just a list of games they have planned at the various stops along with the venue that is booked.

Wonder whether all of those 7 events will have SC2.

Also, holy shit at the Russian Dota 2 stream being almost as popular as the one in English.

Great to see CS:GO getting great viewership numbers as well. DH Winter seemed to be a great way to get the community on its feet.

Dreamhack Moscow and Dreamhack Stockholm is a bit too close together imo. But then there's so many tournaments going on it's not surprising that they had to schedule it like this. Hopefully players won't suffer from fatigue and jet lag too much.

Since I am studying abroad in Europe this upcoming semester, I may actually get to go to either Bucharest or Summer. I hope so.

There's no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep trying till you run out of cake.
