Rain: "I will make a comeback in this tournament"
"I have regained confidence through a lot of practice"
"I have regained confidence through a lot of practice"
You have won your first match in this tournament. Tell us how you feel
It's been a while since I've played an official match so I was nervous. I was reminded of the fact that I am a progamer as I prepared for the match.
We really haven't seen much of you lately
I haven't been performing well so I didn't have a chance to make my presence known in tournaments. I used this break to reflect upon myself. I am full of confidence now that I have practiced a lot. I didn't have much else to do but practice since I didn't have any tournaments to attend (laugh)
What did you get out of your reflection?
I realized that I had become very lazy.
You showed great harassment in all three games
It wasn't planned or anything. Symbol happens to be an aggressive player so I think harassing worked really well.
You face off against the winner of Dear vs Roro in the RO4
I like PvZ so I hope Roro makes it. I'm not afraid of PvP but the mirror matchup depends heavily on chance so I would prefer PvZ.
You do seem rather confident. Are you aiming for the championship?
As long as I make it through the RO4, I think I have a good chance of winning the whole thing. The other side of the bracket doesn't have any Protosses so I think there's a definite possibility.
There will be a lot of awards such as best of each race, best new player, etc. on the last day
I would have wanted some if I had shown some results but since that's not the case, I don't expect to win anything (laugh)
Anything to add?
I've been performing poorly lately but I will use this tournament as an opportunity for me to make a comeback. Please believe in me.

Dear: "I'm lost in PvP thanks to the latest Patch"
"I also think I will win if I make it past the RO4"
"I also think I will win if I make it past the RO4"
Tell us how you feel after your victory
It feels great to win my first match and move onto the RO4. However, I am a bit concerned about my next match.
Your next match is PvP
That mirror match up is so much of a coin flip and thanks to the latest patch, I am completely lost. I am working hard to fix that.
You must have seen Rain's match earlier
His play was 100/100. I could not find a single mistake.
Rain's play seemed fairly harass-oriented
When I was performing poorly, I looked at Rain's play to improve my own. It's an honor for me to be considered to be in the same league as him.
This is the first official match since the Season 3 Finals
After the Oracle patch, the opinion that Protoss is stronger has gained a lot of traction. Even I don't understand why the Oracle was patched. It bothers me when other races call mine overpowered. The Oracle may be a strong unit but I believe the stronger player still wins.
You performed very well late this year. You could win the Best Protoss award
I wouldn't know. I'm not going to predict who will win the award at this stage.
Rain stated that he could become the champion once he gets past the RO4
I also believe that the RO4 is the biggest hurdle. It's PvP and Rain is an excellent player. I also believe I should aim for the championship once I get past the RO4.
Anything to add?
I would like to thank EG's Revival, JinAir's Protoss players and Savage for helping me with practice.

Maru: "I prefer TvT but I believe Soulkey will win"
3:0 victory against soO
3:0 victory against soO
Tell us how you feel after a 3:0 win
I went in without any expectations so it feels great to have won so easily.
You seemed to insist on Mech play in today's match
I had a bio build ready for Set 2 but suddenly felt like using Mech. It seemed to work in practice so I thought why not.
Was the 3 bunker rush in Set 2 planned?
It was impromptu.
You gained a huge lead in Set 3 after killing numerous drones with hellions
My base was in shambles at the same time so I wasn't really aware of my lead. I wasn't sure who was going to win.
Who would you like to face in the RO4
Terran would be nice. I prefer the matchup since it has a lot of variables. However, I believe Soulkey will make it.
Anything to add?
I want to thank all the Zerg playres who helped with practice. I want to thank Creator and Terror who came to the studio with me today.

Soulkey: "The championship is mine"

How do you feel after your comeback win?
I wasn't happy with my play today. I think I was way too caught offguard in the first two sets. It was hard to climb back. I think I was able to take the last set easily thanks to Coach Ryu Won's advice.
Your comeback began in Set 3
I wasn't able to get a lot of practice because there aren't a lot of Terrans on the ladder. I feel that the coach's advice helped a lot. The build I used was one I used a lot when I was performing well. I think it started to work well going into the late game today.
You attend WCG 2013 in China. Weren't you tired?
I was somewhat fatigued and also a little elated from my championship. I think either is yet to wear off. I believe I will be able to show better play starting tomorrow.
You used ling/bling to take Set 3
I didn't have any particular builds ready so I thought I should rely on my fundamentals. I was already behind 0:2 and it felt like Bomber would use that to get greedy so I sought to punish him. When I saw the third Command Center, I was sure it would work.
You face off against Maru in the RO4
I'm confident in my ZvT but today's performance was lackluster. I will reinforce my play for tomorrow.
Anything to add?
All the Zerg players fell from the RO8 in this tournament. I am the final Zerg and I feel like I get a lot of attention whenever this happens so I'm proud. I promise that I will not disappoint everyone who is watching me and take the championship.
