I just hope that the incident from latest episode does not deter other celebrities from potentially joining in the future.
Well, they certainly won't act like the current celebrities do.
As for Yellow's popularity, he has massive charisma, regardless of what he does it makes people laugh and like him. He will make it far in the entertainment business if he continues in variety shows. He needs to fix some of his pronunciation though!
If the producers were truly that dastardly to be pulling the kinds of strings some people are insinuating, they'd know that an underdog story is the most attractive so I'm sure we'll see Boxer and/or Yellow score a come-from-behind victory before both of them fall.
I'm utterly disappointed by both ep 5 games design. Sangmin's per:

but what bugs me more.... are these stupid "Deathmatches", where its now become more ofD to his proposition when they followed his plans, and they all except yellow and junghyun intentionally gave him away when jiwon had to choose his opponent.
beyond that, yellow looks to be in strong contention to win again. its shocking to see how much of a joke boxer is. i wont sugar coat it, sorry guys. but boxer plain isnt the genius we expected him to be.
I'm pretty sure Jinho is a fan favourite, as it happens to be mine as well. So preventing boxer dying would raise the chances of a much acclaimed LimJinRok just for fan service, rather than play it right and give a fair chance to everyone.
So you think Koreans like jinho the most, because You like him? Lol. There is a bts in season 1 where eunji didn't even know who yellow was. There's a reason these guys call each other " celebrities " and " non-celebrities" and " broadcasters" etc. You have to really overrate old school bw progamer fame in Korea to think that they are even close to TV stars like sangmin and hongchul. The desire from the show for a limjinrok match is considered a bonus, not the shows main draw.
but wasn't eunji also just an announcer that happened to be "extremely" pretty? Pretty sure the number of people initially turning into the show because it had a celebrity they liked was probably 1. Sungyu 2/3: Kim Gura/Yellow.
Lol no you missed the point by a mile. Eunji is a TV personality and was part of SNL Korea. Sure jinho might've been more known than poong or cha minsoo (who BTW I've even known for a while yet most Koreans don't k ow because they don't play poker in Korea) but to say he was a huge draw before he won is false. Once he won season 1 was when this thread even came up and ppl on TL started watching. His popularity u could say "reignited" thanks to his genius moments on the show and winning. But not everyone is a die hard bw fan in Korea even if its a national sport. Its mostly young adults that still follow yellow and the rest old/young are interested in the other contestants. If he was so popular and famous why did no one including most of u here didn't watch gsl project code A ??? =D
BTW boxers DM play wasn't stellar anyone with basic game sense could've done that. Stupid game that needs some rules redone. I gaurantee it comes back later with new rules or different pieces/moves because that strategy was somehow missed by the incompetent producers. And I really hate how eu nkyul was right and now its totally divided into 2 groups.
Ummm I made a thread from ep 1 s1 it's just that I didn't bother to update or anything and Clefairy made new OP. And I'm pretty sure a lot of TL saw Yellow's code A project.
lol people on teamliquid know who yellow is and like him the most. so of course u made a topic/ppl post saying they like him the most on the show. itd be like going on to an espn forum and debating if they liked lebron james or britney spears more. and yeah people on TL would watch project A because we fucking followed broodwar and know who he is, but to think people in korea all were fans of broodwar and that yellow who on top of that has never won a starleague would be recognized as the obama of korea is ridiculous. so ummmmmmm
if you believe yellow was famous as fuck in korean media in the last 5 years and it boosts ur ego to always be right without reading anyone elses opinions so be it!
You are the one missing points by a mile, lad. Don't know why would you derive that post into a "reality-checking the actual BW pro's fame" crusade on TL. It's totally off topic and pointless. And it's quite ironic you accuse people for not reading Your posts before replying, when you read what you want on posts from others. Note that I said that "I was pretty sure about yellow being a fan favourite" because I was not 100% sure about it, it was just an assumption based on his display on the show, not for taking down bisu and jaedong before retiring. And what would be the reason to invite boxer to the show, among a pool of ex-programers sharing yellow's skills, rather than building hype for a showmatch between the two based on their rivalry?
And begging for people to use spoiler tags, had to stop reading the unkool's post middway before realizing it could contain spoilers and this unspoilered comment as well + Show Spoiler +

There were people speculating that YellOw was dating either Jungmoon or Yuram but they both denied. YellOw was already attached then given the gold band on the ring finger of his left hand, but people lately noticed the ring was gone since late last year around Dec. He recently co-hosted a new programme (love discussion?! What?!!!)"Kim Jiyoon's Sweet 19: Hong Jin brother-sister" (co-host's name is Hong Jin Young ; notice the first two characters of her name is the same as YellOw's), and admitted that he is now single.

Whoops, my bad. Never realized it could spoiler the last episode.

There's no way both Yellow and Boxer can survive together against the 5-man alliance after that, so it's now all up to Yellow to salvage the entire show.
Inb4 they use another popularity contest as a death match again in Ep. 8 when it's Yellow vs everyone.
i just hope one of yellow/boxer must win the next game to ensure they cant be forced to face each other with the immortality token. It would really suck if both of them are not winners and the token is just given out to whoever is last and force boxer and yellow into a face off

I also go to NB fairly regularly but I saw her post this on twitter with a spoiler tag so I decided to to go to NB until I see the episode (even if some crazy kpop stuff happens I will not go there)

On the latest episode of running man with Sunggyu, you can see Yoo Ram with Sunggyu as he's waiting for Haha to come find him. Mean something? Who knows.

I HIGHLY recommend you to wait for S2 to end and then watch S2 first instead.
Because that's how shitty S2 is right now, and you'll get disappointed.
ok, i watched s2 ep 1-3 first and then watched s1, i thought season 2 was way better in the beginning than s1, s1 started to be good very late imo, i agree there are some lame episode in season 2 (like ep 4) but there were some lame s1 eps aswell ~

Agree. People were still bothered with playing games (or at least tried to) for the first three episodes. From the fourth onwards, some of them just decided to give the games the finger and form majority to get by each episode. Alliances to oust people have become the priority over figuring out ways to win the games.
