After many deliberations and careful planning, Clarity Gaming would like to announce new organizational changes as well as roster changes. For quite some time we have attempted to do too much, we have reached too much further outside of Clarity’s founding goals and ideals. We make these changes to ensure our financial stability and in recognition of how vastly different the North American Starcraft 2 scene has become since our founding.
Our first step will be merging the Academy team into our Professional roster. The Academy is an institution that has exceeded our expectations at every turn, with both its staff and players consistently supporting each other to create a productive environment for both learning and support. Clarity is quite proud of the accomplishments and dedication of not just this class of Academy players but each of them since our inception and look forward to seeing them continue to grow and develop under the banner of the A team.
Clarity’s organizational consolidation revolves around our need to focus on allocating as much of our time and effort on supporting the players as we can. Unfortunately our expectations with regards to our Community team were not reasonable and thus not met, despite the hard work and passion shown from its management from the get go. Given these realizations Clarity Gaming will no longer be supporting the Clarity Community team. Clarity would like to thank the members of the Community team for their support and camaraderie throughout and look forward to seeing each of them succeed going forward.
The new roster of Clarity Gaming is as follows; + Show Spoiler +Austin “Badcop Worthington” Myles “Bones” Donald Nick “Bop” Brock YongSoo “Dragon” Jeon Felipe “KiLLeR” Zuniga Kevin “Paperboat” Cosgrove Elaya “sAikOu” Sison Brian “SaroVati” Zhao Alex “Shew” Raymond SanHa “Sickness” Kim Sterling “Sterling Kolde” Nick “Silky” McNeese Cory “Strykerz” Lycett Mark "ElhayM" Leonardo Thane “TBo” Borden
The new management of Clarity Gaming is as follows; + Show Spoiler +Chief Executive Officer: Brandon “Adama” Altman Facility Operations Manager/Executive Assistant: Victoria “xVixen” Gong Pro-Team Manager: Michael “Seeker” Suh, Michael “Cav” Bramley

Nope. Dragon is still on CG.

Congrats to SeeKeR and xVixen; I see they're going places (:

Good to hear from Clarity even though this might not be the best of news for all. Sometimes change is required. Brandon is one of the most hard working guys out there and he seams to be surrounded by great people. I really hope that all will work out for you and that you will become a even stronger force in the NA and then global scene!
|
Some good news, and some bad. Clarity is a great organization though and they can get through this. =]

Sad to see that the Community Team isn't going to be supported anymore, though the writing has been on the wall for quite a while. As one of the more active members (within the plat-dia division), and the captain of the "Clarity Gaming Community Team" in the Chobo Team League, I felt that there were still good opportunities to grow the groups with a bit more attention from above. Granted, the Masters division is/was always the main aspect which is 100% understandable.
I'll keep cheering for Clarity even if the Community Team is dead, hope everything works out with this new consolidated roster.

Hi, I'm Jordan "Treisk" Green. I was the Division Manager for the Clarity Community Team. And I want to write something on behalf of the players that are being let go from the now-dissolved Community Team.
To my complete surprise, nobody from the Community Team took the news of the division's possible demise personally. Nobody was bitter. People were upset, but never angry. I commend these guys for that. Rather than protest and vent, they all showed trust in me to do what was best for them and try to salvage the division. Though I failed, these guys were persistent, resilient, and most of all committed.
You will have a hard time finding a more motivated, passionate, never-say-die group of individuals than the ones I had on the Community Team. They busted their asses to improve as much as they could, despite having little structure towards the end (a fault of my own). Even still, with the dissolution of the Community Team, this group of teammates and friends have shown every intent of keeping their friendship solid, remaining active in the Skype chat, and, most of all, improving and proving their doubters wrong.
While they may no longer be under the Clarity banner, I implore any team managers interested in talented, hard-working badasses to take a look at every individual on this roster; there's not a weak link in the bunch, and they will work hard for you.
The final Clarity Gaming Community Team roster. + Show Spoiler +Adam "Trace" Kasparoff Anton "Sleet" Bischoff-Fredrick Jordan "WonDeR" Zhou Patrick "Ninja" Robb Kevin "Sherklok" O'Brien Joshua "Cereal" LeBlanc Daniel "MrNiceGuy" Kim Sean "Spiffy" Peralta Adrian "Swirly" Karcevski
I'm still incredibly proud of every individual on this list, from Trace, who just recently had a good showing in the WCS America Qualifiers, to Wonder, a young kid that always does everything he can to improve in spades and worked hard to make everyone proud of him. From MrNiceGuy, who was there from the project's inception to its end and was always ACTUALLY the nicest guy, to Spiffy, who didn't get a whole lot of chances to prove his worth but proved it anyway. Thank you to all of you guys, and I hope someone gives you all a shot on a team that values you the way we did.
I'd like to give special thanks to a few guys that worked hard to make the Community Team everything it was.
Brandon "Adama" Altrman, Mike "Winter" Ortlani, and Mike "Cav" Bramley. You two gave me my first shot at managing a team, and I hope I didn't disappoint you or the brand at any turn. We took a project that was on a downturn and salvaged it into something I think we can all be very proud of. Thanks for letting me be a part of the Clarity family.
Keith “winter” Seidel, Statistician and Administrator, without whom the project would have had less of a leg to stand on. His work on our inhouse ladder system made everything very formal, professional, and organized.
Nick "Bop" Brock, current Clarity Gaming player that came up with me through the initial Academy Recruitment tournament, fell short, and still busted his ass to make the Academy through the Community Team while also coaching the Community Team itself on limited resources. He is a perfect example of hard work and perseverance paying off.
Corey "Strykerz" Lycett, another current Clarity player that was one of the first products of the Community Team. Another guy who busted his ass and went above and beyond to pick up anything I may have missed. He always stepped up when someone needed to.
Clay "Padre" Finney, the first real practice partner I had in the group when I came into the Community Team as a player, before even becoming a manager. Padre was effectively the backbone of the Community Team once Bop was promoted, and stuck through the project from its inception to its dissolution today. He also simultaneously worked in the media department of Clarity, and I've genuinely never seen the guy do bad work in either department. A true asset to any team he's a part of.
Dylan "Warren" Warren, the first guy I immediately hit it off with that was committed to the Community Team project's success, despite also being committed to the oGaming Academy (whom we played a handful of times). Another hard-working kid that I wish success to.
A vague special thanks to everybody that came up through the Community Team, for always working hard for myself and for the staff. You guys were a blast to work for.
I don't really know what my role with Clarity will be going forward, or even if I'll have one, but I know that I owe this group of guys all the thanks in the world, and if any team gives any one of these individuals a shot, they will never be disappointed.

Jookto has slowly but surely been phasing out of the game. We had planned for him to be an active player coach but the time differences with NA and KR just made it impossible.

Second chances are something we can do as a community. After all, we were all young and dumb at some point in life.
No third chances though. You only get one do over.

he cheated he is worthless as a player. idra is 100% right. I played dragon in a streamed game and he beat me pretty easily I thought nothing of it because he was a solid player. I play him on ladder 8-10 times and he is a complete joke free win. Cheaters do not deserve second chances.
also if they banned people like idra for those kind of comments there would be even fewer posters who are knowledgeable on the game.

14 players isn't exactly what I'd call restructuring to ensure financial stability, I'm guessing the players have wide-ranging degrees of support from the org. Would rather see a proper pro roster of 5/6 players (considering the teamless NA talent atm) and then promotions from the academy team when the time is right. But eitherway I'm glad to see team owners admitting to being over-ambitious, and down-sizing before it's too late.
Will the team house be retained?

It's pretty fucking disgusting reading comments like these only because a guy made a small misstep several years ago. Dragon is the class clown of SC2 and if he left the game there would be a hole left after him.
Pointing fingers and being overly negative (cancer) is something thats not needed in this community, we should have learned this by now..

I called the team dying long ago. Half of the players on that "Pro" roster are far from skilled enough to be there or don't play anymore. Expect to see a complete dissolution within the next two months.

Will the team house be retained? They no longer have enough staff after Mike "left." The senior staff used to be ~6-10 people, now there's maybe 3. The house will be retained because it's not a team house. It's a vacation property owned by Adama's family that he was allowed to use as a team house.

Yea well, it was while he was on Werra.... a team with a coach accused of sexual harassment of a player. With that in mind, it's not out of the question to consider if Dragon was forced to do what he did.
Bottom line, Dragon is entertaining and good for SC2 overall. If you can't see that fact and wish to bring up an issue from years back, well, that speaks to the competence of the community, in my opinion.

What an ass hat comment. Sick and tired of you using what you think to be higher intellect to needlessly bring down another player. i wasnt aware that calling him an ass tumor was flaunting my intellect. apologies. Calling a spade a spade isn't really high level stuff, even if Dragon is more of an asshat with minor cheating tendencies. But clearly people are offended that you reminded them that people at one point cheated.
Maybe it's not what Idra says that pisses people off, but how he says it? But from what I can tell, (not that I actually know anything about what he's actually like, I just see how he behaves online) Idra doesn't really give a shit about what anyone thinks about him.
Each to their own I guess, personally I don't really care about Dragon, but I don't see why Idra does either or why he feels the need to slam on the guy in every other thread that mentions him.

I don't really like his behavior myself. I was going to go on about why, but since Idra doesn't care about what I think anyway (and he has no reason to honestly), and this is pretty off topic I'll just leave it at that.

yeah Idra is blunt but his msg is true.
Maybe if he wrote something along the lines of : ''Dragon is a former cheater who is more an entertainer than an sc2 pro''
it wouldve been true, but then it wouldve lost that Idra flavor we still like.

Being a (successful) entertainer is a great thing for a team! Who would you rather sign? A guy getting 2k viewers and while not being the best player. Or some better player with 100 viewers?
Of course you would sign the 2k viewers player.
But there are some rare cases where the player is so bm and because of that no sponsor is interested in being connected to that player in any way. This kind of player is bad for the community because he drives off the sponsors. In this case the description "tumor on the ass of the community" might be fitting

Would rather see a proper pro roster of 5/6 players (considering the teamless NA talent atm) and then promotions from the academy team when the time is right. But eitherway I'm glad to see team owners admitting to being over-ambitious, and down-sizing before it's too late.
Will the team house be retained? They no longer have enough staff after Mike "left." The senior staff used to be ~6-10 people, now there's maybe 3. The house will be retained because it's not a team house. It's a vacation property owned by Adama's family that he was allowed to use as a team house. Thanks for your worthwhile post bud!
It's funny how you see a person's true personality after they feel they are at a safe distance to criticize, constructive right?
