The Intel Extreme Masters New York qualifiers have concluded, with the following eight players earning trips to New York. They will be placed directly to Ro16 group stage of the live tournament.
They will be joined in the Ro16 by four players invited based on WCS point rankings (yet to be announced), and four more who make it through an "open tournament" style preliminary held at the event (participants also yet to be announced).

Didn't Flash say he was going to IEM NY as well? I guess he will be in the open bracket at the event.
I'm also guessing since Innovation was playing in the qualifier that he wasn't one of the four players invited based on WCS points (even though he is leading by heaps).

He is definitely the #1 invite. Most of the top WCS players played in the qualifiers because of the paid trip. WCS invites have to paid themselves so it will be up to the teams to fund them. So we might see some players rejecting the invite (although Innovation is likely to accept since he is on Acer now).

They base the invites solely on WCS points and Innovation, sOs (who was reported to attend IEM earlier), as well as the usual international tournament suspects (Hyun, Jaedong, Taeja, HerO, aLive, Revival) are all ahead of Flash in that and it would really surprise me, if there is finally an NA Lan and EG/Quantic would not send their players. I think he is more likely to try to get in through the open bracket.
I am curious, how Curious and Zest will do, their run in the Kor qualifier was pretty sick, but so was Myungsiks and he ended up getting last in his group, being eliminated 0-2 by Titan.
Wow, so sad that Innovation didnt make it. :/ He just lost so unlucky in his 1-2, one game away from qualifying after winning so many qualification games (over 10 bo3s before). SC2 is really too random for bo3.
I think the lineup is pretty weak and foreigners like Huk and Naniwa have good chances to make it far. Polt and ForGG are still the favorites to win it all though.

you should've watched his game earlier vs innovation. He totally wrecked inno
