Arthur and HyuN advance from Group E
For the third straight match day in a row, WCS America's Challenger League featured just three players in a group. While retirements had caused Sound and theognis to drop out of the previous two groups, Group E's culprit was viOLet and his well-known US visa issues. That left Arthur, HyuN, and State to fight it out for the two spots into the Premier division.
In a surprise result, ROOT.State managed to give Quantic.HyuN even more grief in his recent worst match-up of ZvP, defeating him 2 - 0 in their initial match.
Unfortunate, he wasn't able to take advantage of that early opportunity, as he would lose to Arthur (who received the bye against viOLet) in the winners match. That left State and HyuN to face off again in a rematch for the final Premier League spot. While State was impressive once more in the rematch, he was forced to tap out at the end of a long game on Akilon Wastes and surrender the Premier League ticket to HyuN.

State actually looked to be thoroughly outclassing Arthur in game 2, but he used a nearly-dead warp prism to carry his immortals and it (predictably) got picked off. It was really an undeserved loss, and sad to see.

Arthur has amazing ZvP before. Glad to see him doing well.

But he didn't play a ZvP?

Wanted State and Hyun... At least the games were pretty entertaining (and it should be noted, because WCS AM tends to be overlooked).

Group E results, not F. I got home and went on TL and thought I had missed group F and was about to wonder how the group went by so fast!
I so wanted State to move on, but I'm glad he at least put up an excellent performance and hope that he is able to make his way to the WCS AM premier.

It might have been surprising a year or two ago. Nowdays random person winning is a norm.

Hmm. The two guys getting a walkover advance. Too bad for State.
