It's not really dying and dare I say it will never be trully dead - it will just be at the semi-pro level just like before Kespa switched - better then BW is atm with Sospa only, but much worse then LoL for example. SC2 is gonna be Special Forces to LoL's BW. No money, no stability, no real business. Kespa tried to make business out of it, they were unable to, they have to shrink (shrink SC2, get LoL bigger). It makes sense from business perspective. The only thing I wish for is, that Blizz will let Kespa coaches and officials talk into their design decision for multiplayer part of LotV, so they make the game better to watch together and people will decide to come back... | ||

There were a few good players retiring around then, but after that if I recall correctly the Korean scene was basically a bunch of Koreans on foreign teams due to War3's popularity abroad. If all of this continues this way in SC2 all the way down the line I could see something similar happening. | ||

Nope, but lol may not either, hell even bw was somewhat far away from that towards the end. BW scene already shrank to 7 teams + 8th team and lost mbc, what made anyone think star 2 could support 7 kespa teams + 6 esf teams + foreign teams? This was going to happen no matter what and it really shouldn't be such a big shock. | ||
