Known as one of the pretty boys of the Starcraft scene, Pure left WeMade FOX in 2011 in order to fulfill his military service. His best performance was advancing to the Round of 4 in the 2nd Korean Air OSL.
After returning from the military, he joined Jin Air Green Wings and was seen participating at their team workshops. Head coach Han Sang-yong said of Pure; "While he current lacks skill, he has commitment in improving and is quickly catching up to the rest of the team".
Thanks for the updates as usual GTR. GL to him! here's his liquipiedia page if anyone's interested to know more: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft/Pure also does it say if he's still playing protoss or not?
I will always remember Pure for losing to Pusan and then beating Light right afterwards in the ace match that got wemade through the first round of playoffs, didn't think he would return after he retired/took a break?.
I find myself always watching this VOD every couple of months. Very fun game to watch! ^__^ Excited to see what Pure has to offer and hope he can catch up with everyone really fast :D
Nice!!! Glad he came back from Military service safely and will try SC2!! Hopefully he managed to get a bit of practice in so he isn't a complete noob at it (in terms of playing SC2 for first time). Gogo Pure! So pretty
He always seems to be a nervous guy in the booth, had some decent results. Rather see him in sospa though, won't expect him doing much in SC2. He's not young anymore, passion and motivation are always big issues for older players.

The "nada's body" thread begs to differ.
Pretty cool pickup by the way.
Not to mention the Girls of Starcraft (oops, wrong) thread. Which is the one with HwaSin, SAviOr, Stork, NaDa and others photoshopped onto girls' bodies? Some of those make a good case fro suggesting there are multiple "pretty boys" in Starcraft. I'll edit in the right name thread if I see someone list it but for now the name evades my capture.
+ Cool! I went for WeMade FOX in the early days of my SC fandom when NalrA and NaDa were my favourites and, due to NaDa, my taste for green and foxes being my favourite animal, I chose to support WeMade FOX. I remember Pure. I think he put on a few really good games here and there and disappointed for the most part (even got utterly mauled in numerous games) but it's good to see him come back. Hopefully he will do a good job and it is nice that he's joining Jin Air as we'd like to see more good players support that team, especially with Jaehoon retiting. o_O + Show Spoiler +
Whether he is one of such "good players" is questionable and we'll just have to see! ;P

Same. Even though it seemed like he'd have a painful loss everytime I saw him, I always wished for him to do well (unless it was against bisu )

Shouldn't he be back from military very very soon? Fantasy with boxer and oov support should be really fucking scary (yea I know fantasy is "free agent" right now, doesn't really change that imo he will be back with skt1).
Wow Pure, I thought he totally leaved pro-gaming after BW. I'm not sure it's a good idea thought. Good luck to him, he was one of my favourite protoss player back then !
Well if you go to army while you have work contract you can't be legally fired while being army (obviously if company goes down its different matter). So Pure comes back and fullfills his contract and most likely moves to Sospa scene.

I think he's done with that. That's what Pure told Jaehoon a couple weeks ago when he visited him.
Latest thing I read from dcinside is that Pure had a conversation with Midas over the phone during his broadcast and he told Midas that he's no longer with Jinair because there's no future for SC2 anymore.

If we take the workaround steps of ESF into account as to why this GSTL was even able to get started, here are some sad facts:
KT, SKT seem to be secured...no suprise at all
CJ: rumors about cancellation of the team - future unknown
Samsung: All players participated in old Khan uniforms @ the wcs prelims but the team isn't even called like that anymore. I see khan's/Galaxy's highly questionable, also because of potential ace players besides maybe roro
SOUL: GSTL & Proleague participation - impossible, kespa won't be much of a help anymore as i heard.
Jinair: the help might have been too late for team8 + the departure of pure is a strong sign torwards clearance of the squad.
Woongjin: no real squad at all to participate in team leagues, still with + 3 b teamers still playing there
EGTL: no more team house - what else should be said?
-----
it should be clear that this can only mean the cancellation of proleague

I don't think Jinair ever intended to invest any significant amount of money into Team 8. Some of the Team 8 players were given false hope really.

What are these workaround steps of ESF? Sorry if I'm missing something.
However, didn't the next season of ProLeague already get announced some time ago?

Even if ProLeague is announced, there is nothing to stop from these teams to annul their SC2 squads.

Haha so good. Sc2 has no future, starts streaming BW. Makes sense though, must get some donation just like Bisu, so for him that is probably true. And making money as a pro in Korea only is pretty hard, especially on Kespa teams. Wouldn't mind a small comeback of BW content from Korea.

Is there? I could simply imagine that KeSPA would have at least talked things through with its teams' managements before putting out the next ProLeague season.

Kespa runs Proleague, unlike OSL. There would not be that kind of discrepancy.

Why would CJ cancel their team if they just hired Coach Park?
Why would Samsung cancel if they still have a team and Stork renewed his contract?
Pure was new to Starcraft 2, it would have always been unclear whether he would take to the game, JinAir might still have enough players to participate in proleague.
SKT and KT are still alive and kicking.
That's a possible five teams, not taking into account IM, MVP and Prime, which have left eSF(right?). There could be a new proleague.

Nope, regardless of what logic says we must embrace that sc2 is going to die, because that is what we do here on TL.
