I had it spoiled for myself... before i saw the title of this thread the series was 2-2 tied up, at least as far as i knew. If you haven't watched the OSL finals, you really shouldn't be visiting Team Liquid. That's like looking at the back page of the paper the day after the world cup (or after the superbowl if you're in the US).
you are correct and i alluded to this this in a previous post on this very page.
But i'm not sure why the title of this thread needed to have the results in it

How hard is it to make the fucking title "Rain vs Maru Finals Recap" and then have the fucking story inside? You intentionally spoil people?

This season really gave me a better appreciation for the TvP matchup in SC2. Back when I was learning Wings of Liberty Zerg and laddering my little gold league heart out to try to get into platinum (the reverse happened; i'm stuck in silver now), I followed the GSL but skipped every single PvT unless the players were Boxer, Nada, or MC (even then I might only watch one game in the series).
Now I want to offrace and can't decide between Terran or Protoss! Even though I feel more comfortable with Protoss (and most comfortable with zerg), I think I'll play Terran in honor of Bomber's deep run and of course Maru's Royal March through the brackets.
I've been rooting for Maru so hard to win OSL ever since he took Innovation. It's clear that Maru has more than Mechanics and Macro up his sleeve and can show more interesting builds like the Raven play that helped him break Rain's hard contain on Star Station.

This website posts esports news as it happens, if you don't want the results to be spoiled then simply don't visit the website until you watch the VODs or the restream. Complaining about this is like going over to ESPN the morning after the superbowl finished and not expecting to see the results on the front page.

you can call me surprised XD

I'm impressed with Maru's ability to not give in to pressure, he doesn't seem to be one to ever choke lately.
Also laughing at soO for calling out Prime that one time. Maru had to take it too his teammate since soO can't back up his own talk by getting into the finals himself. =P

What did soO say ? It takes a lot of balls to call out Prime when he is such a mediocre player himself.

great spic series, the korean finals are back to what they were before the zerg onslaught for the later part of wool

To be fair how many protoss have won korean tournaments.

Maru is a royal roader. OSL and GSL are still separate despite the WCS tag. It's hard to wrap your heads around it but it is what it is (think Nestea award complaints).

He said Prime is an easy team.

I know you probably mean premier tournaments, but if you include ESV Weekly, you can also include JYP, Puzzle, InCa, GuineaPig, TAiLS, Tassadar, San, Tear, Sage. Puzzle also won Code A.

For some reason Protoss have tendency to choke in the finals. Squirtle vs Mvp and now Rain vs Maru. At times when PvT seem to be P favored too. sOs also played nervously against Innovation even though it was a 4-0.

No kidding! When MC choked in GSL Season 3 2012, I totally gave up hope of Protoss ever winning GSL again.

I'm so sad for Rain, but he basically crumbled that game and it was heartbreaking
In my eyes this finals (much like the Flash/Jaedong MSL Finals with the powercut) will always be decided by the loser, rather than the winner playing better. I can't help it and maybe it's the fanboy in me but Rain just completely threw that away.
Congrats to Maru either way, he played well <3
