Yeah he beat Cella when he was 13 and Cella was still relevant as a player, that's pretty impressive.

ye poor protoss having a finalist in wcs kr and 6/8 in wcs eu and 3/8 in wcs NA...the race is so bad it's not even funny.

(quick disclaimer: this comment isn't referring to balance in anyway.)

To be fair how many protoss have won korean tournaments.

ok, in in comparison to zerg and terran

Zerg : Nestea, DRG, Life, Sniper, Roro, Soulkey

Terran : Mvp, Polt, MMA, Jjakji, Maru

funny, isn't it? Because of the 4 MVP championships, people oftentimes think of those tons of Terran champions. btw. you forgot Fruitdealer for Zerg. I know I know, he fell off drasticly after his championship, but you also mentioned Jjakji so it should be fine! At least he was still around Code S for ~1year.

That does not count a royal road, right? Just because you call it OSL it still is nearly the same old format.

It's OSL... not GSL... and it's not "you call it OSL". Blizzard and the Korean organizations themselves have decided to keep the brands of GSL and OSL separate.

Yup, won 2-1 vs Cella back when he Cella was insanely popular due to his stream.

Sad day for an SKT1 fan. But Maru showed he's better than most people thought and deserved a title, I wish Rain didn't crumble but oh well Rain is there to stay at the top, he's proven he's a top solid player.

Just watched the VODs. Really glad that Maru managed to win it, despite everyone thinking he would lose. His level of preparation, shown against Rain, Innovation and Symbol, are close to reaching Mvp's levels, I'd say. So happy for Maru, and I hope he continues to do well in the future.

How hard is it to make the fucking title "Rain vs Maru Finals Recap" and then have the fucking story inside? You intentionally spoil people?

About as hard as clicking the "hide spoilers" checkbox on the front page?

Not only that, there was an entire news article a *long* time ago (i.e. this has been happening forever) about how TL wanted to be more of a news site and not just a recap nice and spoilered kind of thing, and if you didn't want to feel spoilered, there is a hide spoilers button on the front page...

This website posts esports news as it happens, if you don't want the results to be spoiled then simply don't visit the website until you watch the VODs or the restream. Complaining about this is like going over to ESPN the morning after the superbowl finished and not expecting to see the results on the front page.

yes you have a legitimate point here, but i suppose i'm asking for a compromise. The reason I visited the site was because i wanted to watch the other WCS's (i only buy the korean ticket) and in between one of the matches I happened to stumble upon the title of this thread which spoiled the results of the finals. I realize this is a news site and I usually don't come here until after all the VODs because of that; however I'm not sure why the results of the match had to be the in thread title. Like the other poster suggested already,. maru vs rain recap should have sufficed IMO

You can always use twitch or the WCS b.net site to view the WCS streams without going to TL. While I do agree the name of the thread could have been different, common sense dictates to not come here until you have caught up on the VODs if you don't want to see the results(especially when a major tournament is involved).

yes i realize this, but i always come to this site for sc2 streams (hardly a bad thing for team liquid) so that thought did not occur to me at the time.

GOMTV has the finals posted. I bought a season ticket and was able to watch, as opposed to Finals Season 2...which was separate for some reason.
