Not really. You either want the info early or your ok with it being late. You can't demand one and then get pissed when you get exactly what you asked for.
You can't?! But that's what the SC2 community does all the time lol.
Anyway interesting news... wouldn't be surprised if MLG does end up doing something with SC2 though. Maybe not a full scale event/open... who knows

You're probably right that they'll announce something at the last minute, but remember that MLG started on halo, and they dropped that too. Don't expect a miracle, and don't expect the company to stay with SC2 simply because it's been with it for the past couple of years. MLG has to rent space at convention centers, and if they can make more money off that space with another game, they're going to take that opportunity.

Oh, they probably had to drop SC2 for the new hot esport- Diablo 3 pvp!

If it helps they will probably just announce it at a later date, I can't see any reason to drop it after the success of MLG Anaheim, and this just feels like Sundance is winding us up. I also think he might be reminding Blizzard that he doens't have to carry their game and the community that MLG doesn't owe them anything. At some point, we did become a large pain in the ass and maybe larger than is worth it.

Wasn't their news that MLG lost the contract for Columbus or something? Or was that Raleigh?

President Jeon of kespa recently tweeted they had been planning a GLOBAL kind of Proleague ( maybe have foreign teams do online matchups or oversea proleague games , one enterprise team send both their LOL and SC2 players out for promotion? ) . Heard from a reliable korean gaming news translator of china.
Maybe MLG planning something big too .

So WHY invest in sc2? MLG good job, nobody can blame you guys for making a sensical decision This is kind of a shitty argument. "A single regular season NFL game gets more viewers than the WCS AM finals". That doesn't mean that its impossible to make money on SC2. Not commenting on whether or not SC2 is profitable, but MLG has a finite amount of floorspace and computers. If one game is more profitable than another and is growing while the less profitable one has stabilized, then the more profitable game would be the better choice for the company.

Man it makes me sad to say this but sc2 is behind LoL and DotA. Not the end of the world, but the beginning of it.

Not the biggest fan of MLG anyway, I was in the early stages, rain vs boxer stages. Since then they have goon downhills in my eyes. Yes i always watch MLG if there is a good match on one of the streams, not like they others where i'm glued to the stream like Dreamhack's. It would suck really hard if they left sc2 out :/

Meanwhile Sundance is browsing this thread on his phone and giggling. The man likes to cause controversy, I thought we understood this by now?
If SC2 leaves MLG then it will be a huge blow to the NA scene. I even have a friend that was practicing specifically to compete in the next open bracket MLG. Man is he going to be devastated... I guess throwing the sc2 community into the corner during Anaheim was MLG's way of pushing us out.

I don't know what all of this means but I'm scared :S
I refuse to believe that SC2 is dropped by MLG.

No way they wont have anything sc2 related, even if it is just some NA only invitational. I am sure the event would suffer.

Professional sports do not do this. During the plays offs, Baseball is the biggest game. During the Superbowl, football. During the masters, its golf.
November is the superbowl for SC2. SC2 is on every night of the week in three regions. There is nothing to be upset about.

Resources can be better spent.

Way to be selfish MLG; Polt has to pay for school somehow! (aside from the money he already has piled up from SC2 so far)

TO the question : "Why is the prizepool ridiculous at MLG ANheim" MLG answered : "Its because of the trouble we had with Blizzard who made the situation unclear" MLG thought : "Its to initiate dropping sc2"
So they shit on BLizzard, Let me please shit on them peacefully.
"There is nothing to be upset about" Well I love the NA scene I think the players are motivated and talented but they have very few tournaments to compete on. SO im upset for the players.

Well the NA fanbase is just getting smaller and smaller as time passes. I definitely wouldn't call that success.
