Clarity Gaming would like to announce the official acquisition of SanHa “Sickness” Kim, known as a deadly top 60 Korean Grandmaster and former progamer for the teams dtG and coach of InFdtG. Sickness has been consistently practicing hard and approached Clarity being as we both have very similar values and principles. After seeing SanHa in action while training alongside our professionals, it soon became obvious that he would be a great asset to our family.
A core focus at Clarity Gaming is to find lesser known potential (foreign or otherwise) and help them grow into top tournament players in an organized environment in which they’ll be given the tools needed and succeed. We eager to lend our hand to Sickness as he walks the same path as players like SeongJin “Shuttle” Choi and ManHyeok “jookTo” Jo.
Below is an interview with the new pickup, who decided to give his answers without the help of a translator. While his answers are grammatically fixed for better understanding, Sanha wanted to ensure the context of his answers remained unchanged so the foreign community understand who he is and his goals in SC2.
Q: Hello Sickness and welcome to the Clarity family! Please introduce yourself, and tell us what you are looking forward to in Clarity.
A: Hello, my name is SanHa “Sickness” Kim, and I am a Protoss player from Incheon South Korea. I am really looking towards great success in the Clarity family, and hope that with this new team I can show fans, and also those who have never heard of me, exciting games.
Q: In 2011 you were very impressive to foreigners, who quoted your Protoss style very unique. What about your style do you think makes you very fun to watch?
A: My style heavily favors warp prism, immortal, and high templar play using very thought-out builds (I practice them very extensively). Unlike most Protoss players right now, I don’t really like dark templar play very much. Also, I don’t really like to watch other Protoss players play, so I guess my style is very much my own. While spectators may have liked my style in Wings of Liberty, Korean pros on the ladder don’t like me much because of my builds. For some reason they think my builds are cheese, when they’re really not.
Holy shit that's cool, I was wondering where Sickness went recently. If I remember correctly, he was the original 'wtfgoodimmortalwarpprismcontrolguy'?

He joined dtg, then joined inferno and moved to italy. Then inferno folded and at some point he ended up on quantic randomly.

There isn't any one specific way.
Sometimes players will be actively approaching teams, or alternatively a team may just be scouting. This may mean looking at current tournament results, ladder performance or other special factors (ie. previous strong results)

He was a part of dtG, "Dream Team Gaming" which was a Korean team that soon merged with Infernal esports
While on dtginf he was a coach, stayed in the inf team house in Italy, and did reasonably well on the EU server, but was also doing full time (iirc) university study too.
Wow. It's been a long time since I heard about Sickness. GL to both Sickness and Clarity!
Man, I remember watching an awesome game of Sickness when he was on Nex. It was a TvP on Shattered Temple and he used a warp prism to do some really cute cliff jumping for his immortals vs a 1-1-1 when it was all the rage. It was one of the coolest games I had seen at the time. Good memories
Congrats to Sickness and Clarity. He knows what he's talking about: "A: Me of course! (Just joking.) Really though, Innovation is the best player. He is the same age as me, yet has such good micro and macro. Very imba player!"
I wonder though what happened with Sickness when he joined inferno esports. THey had him stream while he worked his way to EU GM and then nothing more. Good to see him finding a new home!
I didn't see this news. This is SICKNESS ! I am really eager to see him do well. This guy was so entertaining to watch ! I remember some very impressive micro, in big battles as well as in small skirmishes including his legendary imo/prism micro. A few strats were cheesy but he does definitely not rely on that.
Definitely not his trademark play but here some nice macro game for instance vs Leenock :
