It is basicly impossible for me to follow DH with a stream like that, it really screwed up a really anticipated tournament for me.
Do anyone have similar problems and if so, are there any solutions to solving the problem?

But somehow after randomly changing it to 720p again it now works completely smoothly. Guess I just got lucky and got a closer/better server this time? Can't close stream the whole day now I guess :D

I am in NA and have really incredible lag sometimes, but then I relaunch the stream until it gives me a smooth connection. Usually it takes about 3 tries.

Well normally you would expect them to use their own capacity, but also link with a CDN to provide spillover when required. It seems they have been too slow in building out their own capacity and also aren't making use of any third party CDN in the meantime, which means poor service for viewers. But hey, they have almost got a monopoly so unfortunately they don't need to care too much.

Stream works fine here...thats what i am saying. :-) No, we bash Twitch because it's a Twitch issue. When a significant number of people have the EXACT SAME issue, then the issue is likely not their fault. In this instance we know that it's a Twitch issue, because everyone has the same issue, and it doesn't matter what the end user does, including changing resolution. When 720p, 720, 480, 360 all do the exact same thing, and refreshing the stream enough times to get a different server fixes the issue, what do you think the cause of the problem is? Hint: it's Twitch. People are "bashing" Twitch because they are the problem.

(Germany, Lower Saxony, Kabel Deutschland 32mb down and 2mb up). Having no other issues with my connection atm and turned into the Swedish, non-twitch stream for the Thorzain vs Naniwa game and it ran perfectly fine. They have too few data centers in Europe, so viewers in Europe have to deal with this shit at the peak viewing hours. Mostly on sundays and whenever there is a big event. Twitch has been bad for years for European viewers and it has gotten worse after own3d died. With own3d viewers from the US had the same problems and it was fine for EU.

Oh please, you have no idea how many or how little viewers in europe have had problems. Speak for yourself, not for the millions of twitch users in europe, when only ~2000, have voiced themselves. European twitch viewers have had problems with twitch, during peak hours - Correct Most european twitch viewers have had problems with tiwtch, during peak hours - A wild guess, maybe correct, maybe not. But unsupported info = bad info. When the company itself saids they need new equipment and admitting fault, you can be pretty sure its not a small minority, those can get simply ignored.

Having a 100mb connection and not being able to watch the tournament even in 360p is pretty infuriating to be honest... :-(.

I can live with 2 sec. stuttering every 3 minutes. I think that a lot of people are overexaggerating, and will say all hell got loose when they get a stutter every 3 min, they're spoiled and too easily annoyed/frustrated ![]() But history has learned me that blowing complaints out of orbit is nothing new, it even happens at my job. Customers will complain, saying X or Y had huuuuge consequences, while it was a minor inconvenience. Stab through the bubble and you'll find yourself in a whole different more accurate world. Once the LoL stream was over, the lag disappeared completely and I could watch 720p+ completely lagless!
