Philipp Simon aka XMG.monchi will not attend Dreamhack Summer 2013 or HomeStoryCup VII, due some serious injury on his arm. He actually was in mortal danger yesterday evening.....
News about his condition are rare, but he will have to be operated a couple of times until he can start playing SC2 again on a competetive level.

Sad new surfaced yesterday.. MonchiSC2 has to undergo some serious operations to ensure the recovery of his arm He will not be able to attend neither Dreamhack Summer 2013 nor HomeStoryCup VII powered by XMG... Let's wish him all a full and fast healing process!
Be ensured that XMG will not let him down and try to bring him back to business asap.

Hope he recovers fully, that he will never be bothered by his motorcycle accident again and that he will be able to compete at 100% in the near future. Get well!
That's terrible news hope it doesn't become a long term problem for him. Really hope it's not something like Septicemia, a good friend of mine got that and it took him 2 years before he could go back to work (and he's still not 100%).
i remember standing at homestorycup after his win vs MVP and shouting his name as long and as loud until he came down and gave us all autopraphs (some bad luck even the 2-1 not made him go out of that group) its SO supersad man!!! GET WELL SOON one of the nicests players !!!

One of the more promising European players, sad for the scene.
But more importantly, I hope for a speedy recovery. Infections are serious business and I hope the surgeries are the least painful possible, and come without complications.
T_T so sad, hope he recovers quickly, without a doubt one of the coolest guys I got to meet last year, he's just always fun and friendly, he'll be missed at HSC but hopefully he recovers quickly, great guy <3

What was the accident? I'm sorry, I was around 2 years ago, but I don't remember what it was if it was announced. I don't mean to peer into your personal life or anything though.
EDIT: I see the pics online, it looks like they did a fairly hardcore surgery on you dude. Get well soon .
