Really cool show, so many mind games, reminds me a bit of mafia in some ways.

Yellow made so many mistakes in that game - 1.) leaving his garnet behind in the room and losing it, which eventually was used against him as a 'bribe' 2.) not keeping track of the point leaders/how many cards everyone had left which led to: 3.) panicking and changing his plan from the 9 point plan to just 5 points to save his partner in case he didn't win 4.) Lastly, he picked the wrong person in the death match.

He picked the wrong person because why would you pick someone who got played so hard by her own team and was so weak in character that she was getting manipulated till the end. Even if she was grateful to you for saving her, she's not much use to you in the future rounds. Whereas even though his original partner is potentially more of a threat in the long run, he makes a much stronger ally for now. You need to do anything you can do not get into the death match in future rounds. If the group as a whole sees you as a threat, they can pretty much ensure your loss in the death match.

Also, you want to pick someone you can read/predict/trust better. She will do anything to survive and when you have limited information, you cant predict wtf she's going to do. Whereas you know the other guy he oringianlly partnered with is playing to win based on their initial plan and him not deviating or betraying him.

Yellow is in another final! His opponent really sucks compared to him as well, but he'll probably still lose since it's a final.

It was pretty one sided. YellOw was already smarter but he had a Mensa member, Harvard graduate, and another top university graduate on his side.
