Whether that statement is true or not, it's best not to start off insulting the ladder you're supposed to play on to qualify. I don't take an issue with it because he's right. I'm not sure how it compares to the EU ladder, but the Korean ladder is flat out better. As a result, some top NA players elect to practice on the KR ladder. An earlier announcement would allow those practicing on the KR ladder to switch to the NA ladder and hopefully perform well enough to qualify for the tournament. This would be good for the viewers and the NA ladder. If the tone of his post is the issue, then I may not be the best person to make a judgement call in that regard. My lack of tact is pretty (in)famous among my friends. On April 25 2013 03:35 Vindexus wrote: Will there be a tip jar like the SHOUTcraft Invitationals? Only thing I would like changed is a qualifier for a few spots, but I understand why tb and Genna would not even want to try doing one with the MLG mess

Well unless you want an all-Korean SC2 scene in the next couple of years, you'd best support the notion that sports competition is supposed to be done at multiple level, just like very other sport on the planet.

How does WCS NA offer that when many of the competitors are not NA or SA?

But the TL community only understands skill levels in SC2 based on Code S level Korean players and those able to beat them. The idea that events can be run that are not based around these levels of skill simply cannot be processed by many. How can someone even us the word “talent” if it isn't in relation to a GSL or Kespa player? You are asking people to fundamentally alter their basic understanding of how SC2 works.

Lol at your ridiculous over-reaction. Gee, maybe your social security card or drivers license? Not too tricky to prove who you actually are. They let you write for this site? God.

Anyways, if this is broadcasted during NA prime time - which makes the most sense - then I probably won't be able to catch it, but I'll definitely follow the results diligently.

I'm not worried about proof of residency or even hacking/cheating really but I am curious if anything will be required to establish absolute proof - like an over-the-player-shoulder webcam setup. I could guess a few downsides but there could also be upsides like hearing comments/reactions from the player.
