There are some many shows and writeups that you can listen to and read if you want to see reviews and previews of important games, it would be nice to just have a show that is only deep analysis of the game and what's changing. You can't legitimately cover real metagame without tournament results tbh. Tournament results DIRECTLY influence and are influenced by the meta lol

To those who keep pushing the STOG drama, they need to understand that STOG was more interested in the drama, the face value results and the news circulating throughout the community. That has it's place and so does this show. Suggestions for production: I really liked your different views/highlights for people talking, but a better transition or a unique transition for different views would be nice. The same transition for everything doesn't flow well, it feels forced and the result is unpredictable as a viewer because you could be transitioning to anything. All in all the first show was extremely impressive. I look forward to a nice and organized thread where I can view the VODS and show times etc in the near future. Great work.

Obviously there are kinks to work out with any new show, but I would say you're on the right track to doing a show that cuts the drama and talks about the game/games. This is exactly how I feel. The drama is a non factor, I'm about the content, and the content was great. The production was really well done, I liken it to having a dedicated obs for a stream, looked great! I think once Artosis gets a bit more comfortable hosting this will be the premier show to watch. Thank you Artosis!!!!

It's quite possible that you aren't actually in the minority. People who are into drama are way more likely to express and fanatically defend their opinion on something. You don't need to look further than this thread for evidence than that. There are a small amount of people making a whole lot of very similar posts looking for drama in the situation. Many of which don't seem to have actually watched the episode because they ask questions that are answered in the episode. Luckily for the people who do like the idea of that kind of show, Artosis is the type of person who isn't going to stop because some random person on the internet doesn't like it. If there is ANYTHING you could take away about him over the years is that he LOVES talking about Starcraft. I'm sure the idea of getting together every week to talk with like minded people about the intricacies of the game tickles him pink. Even if no one is watching it.

But imo he is a terrible host for a show like sotg, he looked very uncomfortable, he constantly interrupted other people talking with his own opinions, and he got way to strong opinions to host a show like this. It's like watching a debate where the host constantly choose side and promotes his own opinions over all of the others. This show is not really adding anything new, not only is it a direct copy of sotg, it's a bad copy, much less entertaining. I'm not really worried about this show taking over for sotg, cause I can't really see it succeed unless they change it to be a strategy show. I just hope it don't make JP quit sotg so we end up with no show like that, cause meta is not gonna be a replacement, just a terrible one if they continue to try.

SotG is a good show and I do like it, but it's gotten less about the game as it's gotten older and while I still watch it I no longer hang out for it each week. I still have no confidence whatsoever in Artosis keeping up with the broadcasting, but while it lasts this might be my favourite show on the internet.

I was expecting more of a "yeah this bo is really popular right now and this is why etc etc" Instead it was yeah Hellbats... they are good. All for what it could become, a show that isn't all about the drama is needed. But having on the same cast as last SOTG could be questioned ![]() It felt VERY weird.

The production was top notch, though. I hope they got paid for that work.

There are enough people saying that they are uncomfortable about the show and do not want to watch because of what it looks like from the outside (SotG with JP cut). If the split was done amicably then a quick explanation wouldn't hurt, otherwise we'll just have to wait for the speculation to stop. Personally I thought Artosis could do no wrong but now I cannot help but feel a little disappointed with what I see.

The flow of the topics was a little jarring. Artosis would choose a topic from his list and offer it, the guests would generally say a little timid tidbit and the next topic would be broached. I think I prefer JP in the role of hos And what exactly would JP have done differently?

Artosis want Meta to focus more on in-depth game discussions and less on drama around the game.
